nabasa ko lahat ng comments mo dito lahat against Buyogan kahit last year ganun din. Well, para sa kaalaman mo Buyogan Concept ay original kaya nga Abuyog ang pangalan ng town namin. Buyogan Festival ay nag simula nong 1996 with same concept walang nag bago dahil yon ang story ng town namin. So, its contradict sa statement mo. Payo ko sayo mag research ka muna bago satsat ng satsat. Yun lang salamat.

- hehe. taga Tangub ko blueberry8008 and i partially agree with you. i believe that it's not just the directors that make the whole production work. in our case, sir jojin is superb and really PENTIUM 10 siya pero i somehow think nga the dancers and the whole production team behind are doing great as well. hand in hand ba. pero akoa ra pud ni. cebuanos are talented nya siguro naa pud mi taga tangub gamayng talent :D

Actually there's a lot of variety of formations like the usual playground demonstration here. It's just what the judges i guess are looking at. The nice transformation from one place to another. But in terms of execution and dance steps, there were just few steps. They are a breath of fresh air though, more props and colorful costumes and a big audience impact. Well congrats! I'm still awed with Lumad Basakanon's performance though.

People here are so lured with the basakanon...the judges got tired of their trademark... hindi na cla nagre-invent, everything were predictable. But with leyte's work, malinis at bago. plus they have fancy characters making it cute and new.

Well, as for my observation... when it comes to steps and formations masmaganda talaga ang Lumad Basakanon... Ang maganda lang sa Buyogan, Leyte is ang props... Yun ang nka amused ng audience... Anyways, ok na rin na nanalo ang Buyogan pra maiba naman.. kung baga give chance to others pra naman marami pang sumali sa Sinulog from other Lalawigan... Tsaka be kind to animals.. i mean, visitors pala... hehehe! Pepz, wag na kyo mag-away mahiya kyo kay Sto. Nino kc sya ang inaalayan ng sayaw. Peace!

In aliwan, dili nimo kaayo maappreciate ang visual effects made by the colourful props of Buyugan kay audience and judges are too close to the performers. While in Sinulog, you can see the whole presentation as a whole because the judge and the aurdience are located a little more farther to the performers.Thats why watching the aliwan, almost all surigaonon choreographers had agree that Buyugan could not grab the top3 because of the view. But base on their production, mas lindot jud ang Buyogan

You know what, as a choreographer from surigao, I saw both performances from both contengents in both aliwan 2008 and sinulog 2009. there's only one single reason for why buyugan had emerge as the winner for Sinulog 2009, and that was the stage. Yes it is.

dili kinahanglan nga usbon tanan ang routine ng Buyogan tungod kay ila gi sunod ang tinuod lihok sa mag buyog, (ex. sigig kibot kibot sa ilang balay2x, maniba sa mga bulak, sigig panon,laksi manlihok etc,)

i would just like to clarrify that there is no governing rule of the sinulog foundation that excempts any contingent from joining if they have won three consecutive years. so? its always open for them to join again every year. just like tangub who won a grand slam already sinulog 05, 06, 07. but they still join sinulog 2008. so? there are no bases that maong nag pa 2nd ang lumad basakanon. its a wrong point. no offense.

2004 winner was compostela (deserving). 2005, tangub returned and won, it was the time when huge mirrors were used as backgrounds(first of its kind)..2006 tangub won with carnival theme(costume is white)..2007 was their best performance, costumes used were from malaysia.....referencebueno is correct...there is no governing rule of the sinulog foundation that excempts any contingent from joining if they have won three consecutive years. so they joined last year and the winner was alcoy

we lost to CNHS in 2004 and Alcoy in 2008.

nice comment kooh36. maganda rin naman ang alikaraw na sinasabi mo pero ilang beses na ba ilang sumali sa Sinulog? they never defeat cebus contingent. Pero ang Buyogan first timer lang sa Sinulog but they snatch the title from LUMAD BASAKANON, ALIWAN GRANDSLAM, and two time Champion in Sinulog.

For me.. the buyogan is good.. They have nice choreography... and the most important thing is that they are well arranged.. SUS naa plang ang alikaraw dha.. wa na.. da-og na.. aliakraw is full of surprises.. and also they dont have the same dance as well.. all are new.. execpt to their constumes.. but i know they will be the crowd's favorite.. (im not an alikaraw dancer) DOING great aBUYOG.. But Please be reminded Do not Boast(PagHinambog) of what u have done...

maayu man sad ang lumas basakanon, gi usab nila ang ilang routine. wala na ang ilang pa balod balod epek, pero dagahan ang wa mu angay kay naay mga step mga sablay, dili pang festival. ilang entrance pang cheer dance kuno tapos naa pud cilay mga step na mura og robot. ang naka lami ra nila ang praising lang gyod kay senior sto nino, da rest hugaw na.
