  • Thanks Kevin we need this leadership even if we are only a small emitter globally

    we only have one planet

  • Shut up for once please!

  • "It's time for Australia to act" - I couldn't agree more on this simple sentiment.

  • Where is your evidence that global warming is true.

What caused the ice age to end pre-human industrialization?

Before factories, power stations & motor cars.

  • Please show me the scientific evidence that says, irrefutably that CO2 is a pollutant and is heating up Earth. It is a vital gas for life on this planet. Temperatures for the last 10yrs have plummeted yet CO2 has increased. This shows that environmentalism is really a religion and we know what that means.

When are you actually going to come clean on this scam?

  • Tell me Kevin, who owns the Chicago Carbon Trading Futures?

Is it Al Gore & his Canadian mate?

I'm sure you would admit that this is nothing more than a wealth re-distribution con-job on a global scale.

  • Mr Rudd, as an Australian citizen born and bread, I have seen a lot small but

progressive changes in this "Our Beautiful Country".

But none have I seen being pushed with such vigor as this so called

    "Global Warming issue"

So if you are able I would appreciate and I guess many other also, if you could

point me to the corroborated scientific facts on co2 as a pollutant and

    anthropogenic or man made causes.

  • Go Kev. It's about time someone took leadership on this issue. Let's hope those dinosaur's in the Liberal Caucus get on the bandwagon and support the scheme because it's our future which is at stake.

  • Prime Minister Rudd I have a question:

Should the carbon emission legislation go forward will it eventually become mandatory for new houses to be installed with solar panels to reduce power consumption when these houses are built rather than having to modify them later?

  • We may lower our emissions but how long can Australians put up with energy-saving light bulbs that cannot serve their function in lighting up a room.

Also while we may do our part, there are little to no methods of addressing and reprimanding developing nations such as China for their emissions.

Let's hear more about the broadband scheme. ;)

  • If we become a success story will that really matter, our contribution to emissions is a drop in the ocean compared to the US Europe and rapidly developing India and China. Do we really have that much International influence?

  • Great! I'm so glad that the government is taking a step towards global efficiency. I'm only 14, and I don't have an immensely deep understanding of politics and parliament, but great job. Australia needs this, so thanks Kevin :D

  • Good job kev. I support the idea of alternative energy, as the ever-growing price of oil increases. Think of the jobs that will create too, capital engineering and what not. Oh at the environment too.. >_>

    I rate it highly.

  • lol, C'mon? If it we're really about co2 then all new house's would have wind generators and Solar as standard building code. They would bring back the electric car? Think about it. At the end of the day the only way Rudd intents to curb emmissions is curb your lifestyle by taking more out of your pocket. Your every move will be measured and charged accordingly... Yeah good job Kev
