  • ive been playing trumpet for 2 years. I ♥ it

  • As a professional performer and private teacher, there is little criticism I could offer. The 3rd vale slide comments that others have mentoned are valid but the overall performance is terrific. You have talent. Keep after it! Best of luck.

  • thank you very much, and I will. I plan to minor in music

  • very well, only adjust c# affination

  • this is the LSO online piece right? I watched their principle trumpet play this, it is amazing! You're pretty good yourself- for a girl ;P

  • Beautiful!! Great job!:)

  • The C# is very sharp, use your third valve slide. It should help to keep your pitch more in tune.

  • very good,

I agree, that is a pretty solo

  • Send me The Music Please

i looked for it but i cant find it

  • just scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on youtube symphony, click your instrument, and it should pop up..

  • sounds good i guess i dont know tht much about trumpets tho :)

  • Pretty good. I like your tone. The only thing I would suggest is that you try not to "slide" from the F# to the B, and try to phrase it the way you would if you were singing it. Hope this helps. =]

  • Erm... Its not good enough to audition quite yet but its not bad ^^

I hope its the camera, but I mean no offense when I say you don't have quite the sound I think they're looking for... What instyrument and mouthpiece are you playing on?

  • I'm playing a beginning model yamaha and using a 3c megatone, but my mic really did me no justice... my tone sounds alot better in person.

  • Ah, you say your tone is bad because of the mic, but actually it's not. I can hear all the characteristics of a good tone coming from it, even if the recording isn't of the best quality. You sound lovely, how long have you been playing?

  • about 7 years

  • yeah...watch that low C# and D#....great job though

  • Agreed.

Both were quite sharp. Make sure you push the third valve slide out.

    Nice Hat :-)

  • The Competition is not open to residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Myanmar/Burma, Syria, Zimbabwe and any other U.S. sanctioned country.

    Patético

  • why?

  • oH WELL

  • You did good. try to be in tune next time. You played all the right notes, and mostly right rhythms, but there was no expression. Also watch for the high notes. Good job though and defiantly audition.

  • I'm also a trumpet player and I thought you did a pretty good job :). I agree with Turboyoshi624 as to the two places where you were sharp.

  • I am not a teenager, but I play the best violin 2 in my school prioritized by my student vote, should I audition? It is my life's dream to play as a musician in carnagy hall....

  • Definetly :D Just be sure you give it your best shot, and I think everyone has a right to audition, no matter how much experience they have. I know there are kids who are very young, yet they play better than some people who are in college. Good Luck ^^

  • Of course you should audition!!!

  • do it!!!

  • good, but you need to be pickier and flow through those high notes, maintain exact pitch, and bigger breaths might help. good luck!

  • No offense, but you were, I think, flat on 0:08

  • I thought it was kinda sharp idk

  • We are all in this together. I think you should hold the notes for their full value. You are cutting them all short. Think in 16th notes maybe.

  • Sorry Jackie, but I think it would sound way better on bass clarinet....jk,jk

  • Hmm.. I'm not sure what part I should audition for.. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd... What do you guys suggest?

  • I'm excited to hear more auditions such as this. Good sound I recommend (as a non trumpet player) to play out the dynamics well. It could be the microphone, but it sounded like the dynamic was generally the same. You can play around with it to give it feeling towards the end when it goes high.

  • The c# (trumpet pitch, not concert pitch) is sharp at :07 and :18, but other than that, i thought it sounded nice. You have a nice tone, but try to keep it consistent throughout the solo. My only other comment is a repeat of what cliffgoat said. I'm no trumpet player, but i think that was pretty good, overall, except for the minor things, but those can be fixed easily.

I'm trying out for the 2nd clarinet part, hope to see you there!

  • i agree with cliffgoat, also keep the air moving in the lower notes, they sounded a bit flat

  • Just keep the air moving as you ascend up the octaves is my only criticism...nice work
