  • @TehEpicNewb yep, thats a thing that happens. *nods*

  • @BananaNeil Hahaha pretty sure that was a troll comment, so I ignored it.

  • This is still awesome.

  • Right now, I'm totally just jumping through channels and pretty much reselecting my subscription box. My response to this video is +1.

  • Yes I'm late to the party, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this video. And it seems that I have a bunch of new vloggers to check out once I catch up with my current list because if they like your videos and you like them then they're obviously worth watching.

  • This was really well done.

  • This is really a brilliant way to compile thoughts from the discussion whilst also functioning as a stand alone thought. Yeah I'm clicking favourite.

  • I just watched this again. Still love it.

  • ok then emmfan09 i am subscribed and happy about it! love what you're doing... creative youtube ftw

  • For some reason I was under the impression you were making a video about a clothing brand popular in the 1990's. I'm glad you didn't because I thought that clothing brad was appalling.

On a related note, you my friend are far too awesome. I'm not just saying that because I was in this video(I like that I was in this video)but I'm saying that because it's true. That and the fact that I wouldn't benefit form lying to you.

Thank you for constantly proving your inability to forget to be awesome.

  • Once upon a time, this guy named RYAN made content way too cool for everyone. Except that he's so nice that he put everyone in it.

    Love. So much. <3

  • This is fantastic.

  • This was great. It just makes you think - there are so so many people on the same the exact same page about whats wrong with youtube - so why cant anything be done about it, and why hasnt anything been done about it yet?

  • Wow, I have to say, this is Great edited!!!

Hurry up people! Let's thumbs this video up, so it may get featured on the Youtube homepage! Oh wait, that won't happen, Youtube won't featured us little guys...

Come Youtube worker's, do something already :/

  • This = brilliance. The point couldn't have been posed in a better, more truthful way. WOO!

  • this is glorious...i mean...research...i'm doing research for my dissertation.

  • Interpretation, spot on. Simply gorgeous.

  • amazing!

  • Holy smokes. This is the best unintentional collab EVER!<3

  • SO TRUE!!!

  • I LOVE YOU. I should finish watching that Andrew Bravener video.

  • Fantastic. Simply fantastic. This has been a discussion that has been going on for quite some time and will continue to occur so long as YouTube keeps evolving. And it should. And when I said "it" ambiguously, I mean that, yes, YouTube should keep evolving, and yes, we should keep talking about it.

  • Ryan, you did an incredible job with this video. I'm glad everyone is banding together and becoming passionate about something again.

  • ps: I liked it without you telling me too! So smalltime YouTubers DO have a mind of their own!

(contrary to what other people seem to be think)

  • Wow. Best one I've seen yet.

  • @taylahboone I must tell you how honored I am to have been taylah-ed. I've just heard the best things about you from one coralinehope.

  • @emmfan09 Like that I'll beat you up for your lunch money?

  • yes, yes , YES!

i think i might be crying a little, but Ryan, this is amazing in full display.

  • @iliveonplanetspace Hahaha! I'm so glad you liked it, but please don't cry!

  • I love this. Great job.

  • This creativity is why we spend hours on YouTube. Thank you

  • Awwwww this makes me happy. I absolutely love the way you compiled the voices of so many youtubers to express a concern we all have.

  • I LIKE THE PART WITH ME IN IT.

  • This was amazing Ryan! It's very cool to hear everyone collective voices come together speaking a very similar message. It's nice to hear that we have a common concern.

  • This is amazing. It really does sum up the whole discussion.

And the moment I started watching I noticed the journalistic feel of it. Bravo, sir! You've just proved once again how social media is going to be at the core of new school journalism (Is that what it's called? That's what I'm going to call it)

  • @orangesho13es Hahaha new-school journalism is a phrase that needs to catch on.

  • Fortunately, most of these people can (and do) make better videos than the ones in which they talk/rant/whine about YouTube...

  • you people are all made fof 100% awesome. thank you! XD

  • This.. Damn. It's oh so good.

  • Loooooove.

(Oh my god I look so young)

  • @shessomickey I thought that when I editing this video. I had to check the time stamp to make sure it wasn't years old! You posted that in January 2010. My, have we grown a lot in such a short period of time!

  • What I loved about this video is that while you are expressing your thoughts, you are also pointing out the fact that we are all saying the same thing. And I think THAT is most important.

And to answer the question at the end, we do what we would like to see on youtube. (For example, you want to see more video responses make more video responses yourself.) Hopefully the rest will follow. At least that's what I think.

  • @JustJAINE I totally agree! I definitely want to start doing more video responses, so I can be excited when others send video responses to me. We just need to up our game as far as interaction goes, and we'll see YouTube how we envisioned it. Or at least something dangerously close to it. The trick is, like you said, for community members to actually instigate and follow through with these plans.

  • I loved this. Good good good good.

  • RYAN. This is amazing <3

  • I. Love. You.

  • Ryan. I had to watch this four times, and I still get chills. This was such a brilliant idea. You are amazing. <3

(And *blushblushblush* I was in there. With so many people I adore. Made my day.)

  • this is so well put together ryan!

  • Ryan, you're brilliant, and I think this is just the right way to go about this - the presentation of the message was the message itself.

  • This discussion about the community has been like the muffin Dev is eating in his clip: something we've craved for quite some time now. I love the spark that lit the flame, the discussions, AND the people who have come up with solutions. It's amazing what one community can do.

  • @elizziebooks Liz, we are so wonderful with our analogies hahaha. Let's hope we can keep biting at that muffin.

  • This is really rad.

  • I feel like I got chills.

  • Gahhhh so well put together, the placement/selection of clips is delightful. Good work, sir!

  • Yep, yep. This is an example of our community. We say what we want to say. Gaaah I still can't be eloquent about this. I just know that I'm glad to be a part of this awesome community.

  • I'll come back when I can lift my chin off of the ground.

  • This was so beautiful, Ryan. There are definitely some videos in here I need to go back and rewatch.

  • Gah, amazing.

  • Nicely done, Ryan!

    - Jason

  • Okay, I think I can form an actual response now. This is such an awesome way to address this discussion because it is also a demonstration of community. Pulling out key quotes from other videos and arranging them to tell a story resulted in a much more organized, cohesive statement.

In short, I like the stuff you make. You win. You win the Internet, Ryan.

  • @rebexington HAHAHA! I'm so glad I could fit in your clip, Rebecca. My software kept crashing on me, but I quite enjoyed everything you said in your video. :D

  • Oh my god. This is awesome, Ryan.

  • Goosebumps. This video was amazing and it really strikes me. Thank you for making this.

  • LOVE.

  • Holy crap. This was so amazing! I applaud the amount of work it took to put this all together.

To add to the discussion, I've noticed a lot people essentially saying "Youtube should be this..." Well it isn't. Let's move on.

  • @evmoneyTV I disagree. We are so big a community, we are able to make changes. Even if many things are up only to YouTube as a company, many issues raised relate to people. And of course the situation where so many people agree on such essential points should lead to "Okay, so what do we do now?". Even small steps are steps and I think those are possible (we're not talking about revolution).

This was an amazing video, I can't imagine how much work you put in that.

  • Is it too much if I say I love you? Cause I do. I just do.

  • I understaaaaaaaaaaaand.

  • @lesliefoundhergrail I told you that you'd understand! :D

  • I've watched this like 10 times now.

  • Haiku for this video

    Rad as fuck

    is the only description

    that comes to mind

  • I love you a ridiculous amount. And I am hugging you now. This is wonderful. Aaaaaah. <3

  • WIN!

  • Brilliant.

  • Psh. Everybody should just switch to Dailymotion.

  • I feel like I'm a part of a revolution to take back what it means to be a glorious community. :)

  • This is a fantastic mash-up of the conversation that is currently taking place around the YouTubes.
