Yes I'm late to the party, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this video. And it seems that I have a bunch of new vloggers to check out once I catch up with my current list because if they like your videos and you like them then they're obviously worth watching.
For some reason I was under the impression you were making a video about a clothing brand popular in the 1990's. I'm glad you didn't because I thought that clothing brad was appalling.
On a related note, you my friend are far too awesome. I'm not just saying that because I was in this video(I like that I was in this video)but I'm saying that because it's true. That and the fact that I wouldn't benefit form lying to you.
Thank you for constantly proving your inability to forget to be awesome.
This was great. It just makes you think - there are so so many people on the same the exact same page about whats wrong with youtube - so why cant anything be done about it, and why hasnt anything been done about it yet?
Hurry up people! Let's thumbs this video up, so it may get featured on the Youtube homepage! Oh wait, that won't happen, Youtube won't featured us little guys...
Fantastic. Simply fantastic. This has been a discussion that has been going on for quite some time and will continue to occur so long as YouTube keeps evolving. And it should. And when I said "it" ambiguously, I mean that, yes, YouTube should keep evolving, and yes, we should keep talking about it.
This was amazing Ryan! It's very cool to hear everyone collective voices come together speaking a very similar message. It's nice to hear that we have a common concern.
This is amazing. It really does sum up the whole discussion.
And the moment I started watching I noticed the journalistic feel of it. Bravo, sir! You've just proved once again how social media is going to be at the core of new school journalism (Is that what it's called? That's what I'm going to call it)
@shessomickey I thought that when I editing this video. I had to check the time stamp to make sure it wasn't years old! You posted that in January 2010. My, have we grown a lot in such a short period of time!
What I loved about this video is that while you are expressing your thoughts, you are also pointing out the fact that we are all saying the same thing. And I think THAT is most important.
And to answer the question at the end, we do what we would like to see on youtube. (For example, you want to see more video responses make more video responses yourself.) Hopefully the rest will follow. At least that's what I think.
@JustJAINE I totally agree! I definitely want to start doing more video responses, so I can be excited when others send video responses to me. We just need to up our game as far as interaction goes, and we'll see YouTube how we envisioned it. Or at least something dangerously close to it. The trick is, like you said, for community members to actually instigate and follow through with these plans.
This discussion about the community has been like the muffin Dev is eating in his clip: something we've craved for quite some time now. I love the spark that lit the flame, the discussions, AND the people who have come up with solutions. It's amazing what one community can do.
Yep, yep. This is an example of our community. We say what we want to say. Gaaah I still can't be eloquent about this. I just know that I'm glad to be a part of this awesome community.
Okay, I think I can form an actual response now. This is such an awesome way to address this discussion because it is also a demonstration of community. Pulling out key quotes from other videos and arranging them to tell a story resulted in a much more organized, cohesive statement.
In short, I like the stuff you make. You win. You win the Internet, Ryan.
@rebexington HAHAHA! I'm so glad I could fit in your clip, Rebecca. My software kept crashing on me, but I quite enjoyed everything you said in your video. :D
@evmoneyTV I disagree. We are so big a community, we are able to make changes. Even if many things are up only to YouTube as a company, many issues raised relate to people. And of course the situation where so many people agree on such essential points should lead to "Okay, so what do we do now?". Even small steps are steps and I think those are possible (we're not talking about revolution).
This was an amazing video, I can't imagine how much work you put in that.
