@Thinkmachi For the answer to that question, just look at the most basic question asked in philosophy/metaphysics/epistemology : "How do we know?"
The difference between any assumption and well-accepted theories in physics (though this video's might not be one) is the fundamental assumption in science: Our senses are at least sometimes accurate, and are the only means for us to know anything.
If you disregard that, you can come up with all kinds of crazy shit, but nobody takes you seriously.
@Thinkmachi Actually, let me get this straight first : This video is a completely dramatized bullshit version of physics. M Theory has NOTHING to do with infinite or parallel universes, and assuming that there are other universes, there's no possible way (so far) that we can detect anything about them, even their existence.
Even if science manages to explain everything, it might still end up being wrong. Imagine we could map out the course of the universe as it will happen. There is still a chance that something unexpected happens, showing that everything we know is wrong... again and again and again...
@Zadamanim Thats what keeps it so "suspenseful" to me... It fuels my drive to keep asking questions and learning as much as I can. These are "Theory's" so they never have been claimed as fact. Regardless, this is the human species at their best in my opinion.
Where in place of the energies, we observe with our brains matter, when what is in reality, multi-positional feilds of energy. Our observations of these energies seem to us, to define there positions, but do they really? Or is this perception but a possibility that has thus far allowed the observer to navigate the gauntlet of extinction, due to a perception of reality that has been of benefit to our ancestor's ability to necessitaie it's survival.
Physicist need to incorporate a deeper understanding of evolution to truly understand a theory of everything. That is to say that if our brains are indeed a product of natural selection, it is likely that the driving force of our perception of the physical universe is not reality, as much as it is the reality that suits our survival as a species, and our high probibility to procreate as is evident in our exisence.
It's so crazy that was are just born into this crazy situation. It's like someone waking up on a train going 500 mph without any memory of the past. We are born on a rock flying through space and we're trying to figure out what exactly is going on. I think its very possible that consciousness could have existed before the big bang and possibly created the big bang. Roger Penrose actually said that they now know The Universe was incredibly orderly when it came to be.
Electrons occupying all space within an atomic shell orbit at the same time or as a "wave cloud" does not exist for the observer. Once observed, we see a defined particle and path........that wave is nothing more than an infinite existing amount of particles manifested in other realities (dimensions or universes?).......a caveat, this is a quantum trait and is very speculative to apply to macroscopic realites.
@sinaptico I think you should watch something else on M theory, this is a really bad representation of the theory. M theory is basically a combination of all the different string theories.
they say that our universe was created by a bing bang, the big bang happened by 2 enormous membranes hitting each other about 13 billion years ago... anyone ever think that that are other civilizations out there that are much much much bigger than we are. because we live on a membrane and everything so yeah.
@AgentOrange502 Trillions of years ago actually. I'm a christian and even I know how it works. / Comment about other christians being naive and over-zealous /
@myrtlebox And with that, it's apparent you're both. As a sidenote, learn when to bring up religion and when not to. My comment had no forms of disagreement, hence, you mentioning 6,000 years shows you're a dumbass. The fact you didn't realize that, makes you steel-headed.
@myrtlebox However after the correction, rather than being a mature member of this vexing idiocracy, you also nit-picked towards peoples' religions, by stating the aspect of 6,000 years.
But I must admit that I still do not understand all this scientific stuff in mathematic methods but I understand in a nut shall that is related in to our life when comes too different culture, ethnic group, religion and skin color which is really one human race since 1% of all the different from each other.
When you know people we are really a same with different culture and skin color.
I love this theory of M-theory which appear 11 different dimensons which is really like E=MC2 in relativity which the 11 dimensons and the five different type of string theory's are really just one, which is just a different ways of looking at things in our fundamental structure of our universe
Hmm. Is it our human arrogance to theorize that parallel universes would include the same players or not in relatively similar situations w/ differing outcomes? Why couldn't parallel universes be different in their story? To constricting to think just one way.
Could the multiple dimension or parallel universes of String Theory be future possibilities of what might happen within our one three dimensional Universe?
A dynamic Universe of continuous change or creation that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual creating our own future!
this theory is saying that strings in our universe are like notes of different freq but to exist together these freq most flow together like C E G to make a Chord that makes the quaks electrons protons ext... have mass and energy??? is this right maybe thats why antimatter and matter cant exist together because of clash of freq?
I've changed my mind about this theory. It's not a religion. It's far more logical than any religion. It would explain where our universe came from and why particles have mass. Calling M-theory a religion is ignorant because that's like calling a scientific hypothesis a religion. Right now M-theory is only a scientific hypothesis for the origin of the universe.
We can neither prove nor disprove the existence of God, to bicker about the concept over Youtube to prove your opinion over someone else, simply further exemplifies your arrogance.
@dulynm ..." to illustrate the idea that the philosophic burden of proof lies upon a person making scientifically unfalsifiable claims rather than shifting the burden of proof to others, specifically in the case of religion. Russell wrote that if he claimed that a teapot were orbiting the sun, it would be nonsensical for him to expect others not to doubt him on the grounds that they could not prove him wrong." - Bertrand Russell
@JoshuaFVrooman You're quoting a guy who refers to himself in the third person? Also, his example contains quadrupole negatives, which is something that people do to befuddle an issue that they don't know what they're talking about. Removing the first double negative would produce "it would be sensible for him to expect others to doubt him..." And that shows that his logic is illogical. At the end of the day, people should be skeptical but trust the side with more evidence and logic.
@rbrtchng Russell didn't write that, I simply added his name to the end of it. It's taken from a book he wrote regarding the existence of a teapot circling the sun. Quite a brilliant concept, Google it. (Russell's Teapot)
@JoshuaFVrooman so when you say that "it's taken from a book he wrote", you mean to say that "it's NOT taken from a book he wrote". Sounds like a religious lunatic to me.
@JoshuaFVrooman The thing you don't understand is that science is a humbling experience. Religion is arrogant. By the way, "god" is a scientific hypothesis about the origin of the universe. If you want to understand this further, please read Richard Dawkin's book The God Delusion. Maybe that will change your indecisive mind.
@FallofDarkness55 It's on my bookshelf. I'm Agnostic, my view on religion as a whole is an outdated interpretation of our place in the cosmos. But we neither have the evidence or the mental capacity to fully comprehend our place even now.
God is clearly a man made concept, it's our representation of our creation. And, in my opinion it's outdated at best.
@JoshuaFVrooman The reason why we exist is because the universe exists. In fact if there are other universes with no electrons, life would not exist. You're absolutely right that god is a man-made concept.
@freakin00freakz Before the multiverse started, the Autobots ruled the world of Cybertron until Thor came in and fucked a Decepticon, and that's how babies are born. Get it?
@Badtreewater A theory is not meant to be taken as irrefutable fact.. in fact, its a theory because of just the opposite. And secondly, the science is logical, that's why it makes sense and is agreeable to the majority of the educated (literate) population of the world. There is a big difference between the two theories, and in fact someone can believe in both in my opinion. What was before the big bang? What created the universe itself which has now expanded on to many galaxies?
Whenever I hear the word "infinite" in science, it makes me want to stop reading or watching. There are two numbers that are easy to use in mathematics but are impossible in physics: zero and infinity. I just can't stand to hear that there are "infinite" universes. A large number of universes, so large that it is incomprehendable.. ok. but infinite. come on. it's just logically impossible. hm i should stop watching popular science and stick to real science. then i won't get annoyed i guess =)
They're absolutely right about other universes. There are more worlds with races on them than we can fathom... There's one exception to their assumption though.
Our universe is the only universe under the effect of sin. So.. those universes contain intelligent races with their own lives. And they know about us. They're waiting to meet us. And time; they will meet some of us. 144,000 of us. A symbolic number. Once we can achieve their status in God's universe. That is; sinless.
@pbatusa Having read your post I can only conclude that you are either joking or on drugs. It is quite absurd and nothing more than a personal conjecture.
@sinhaserpente says, "Having read your post I can only conclude that you are either joking or on drugs. It is quite absurd and nothing more than a personal conjecture."
Our universe is the only universe under the effect of sin. So.. those universes contain intelligent races with their own lives. And they know about us.
.. just have to wait and see. Someone disagrees with conclusions of hypothesis; doesn't make them wrong. I don't like liars or propagandist... prefer thought.
@pbatusa Sin is just a word and is entirely conceptual and therefore can have no bearing on nature and physics. What you have written is not a conclusion of a hypothesis, it is an absurd and completely unsubstantiated claim that has no more weight than me saying unicorns created the universe and we all live in a horn shaped universe. You cannot say that is wrong, but we have to draw a line somewhere; logic and reason is the best method for hypothesizing.
@empiirik says, Can those parallel universes be observed in cosmos with aid of technology of course?
Technology? A bio-sphere synthetic organism planted on my forehead may be programmed to mimic the "Blackberry" technology and send text messages to another with only thought patterns.. yet it is "still" just telegraphy - (from Greek: tele τηλε "far," and graphein γραφειν "writing") is the long-distance transmission of messages via some signalling technology. However, telepathy does not.
@kaakatin says, Stop discussing about religion in science videos. Even if "someone else started", you don't have to answer them
reply) Parallel Universes Part 1 .. I'm an individual; and there isn't a second me. I agree it's cool to think about it. We're made that way; to think. But opposing points-of-view on a Parallel Universe isn't religion.. it's a point-of-view... and Science; if it overlooks the nature of man - and our destiny; it overlooks me. I'm entitled to an opinion about me.
@kaakatin says, "Stop discussing about religion in science videos. Even if "someone else started"
3 + 3 is usually three.. unless we use "new math" ... My question is; Why are some orbits backwards? It's already known.. To work backwards - one must assume the beginning was 0.. and 0 + 0 is always .... 0 .. It doesn't very.. without being created from another something. Like our earth - we can keep moving forward forever- because it is round; we end up where we started... recognize options.
@pbatusa Dear Family of Light, July 2010, continue to be strong and the energies of the many opportunities to make new choices that align with their strong, with new energy cycles, starting with 26.7.

@pbatusa You have 11.7. a complete solar eclipse, which means section of this opportunity to finish and ease the pressure, what many of you may feel at the moment. But we can say that this is a powerful eclipse, which can be seen in the Pacific, Easter Island, Chile, and Argentina's Patagonia.
@pbatusa Blackout is the moment when the planet collectively accept the change, what can we compare the computer to start again. Exchange of the new light codes information requires the balance and harmony pimennyssiirtymien reset. In this case, reset the codes are the planet's ocean area. Pacific is the largest ocean on the planet, and it receives the new light codes for water, which are exported to the ocean networks. They care about whales and dolphins, the depositories of the ocean code.

There are those that can perceive the strings. We have a different vocabulary for it. It's not multiversed, but rather layers of reality which can be collapsed to alter one's reality. We toil in silence, for humans have proven to be parasitic by nature filling the self, gorging on life. Human kind doesn't deserve to exist.
@jibberjabberx And I care about the truth! Even though M-theory is in its infant stages, I regard M-theory as a scientific hypothesis unlike bullshit claims about some sky-fairy.
@jibberjabberx actually science= a consensual agreement on the most likely explanation of observable phenomena which may or may not be the actual reality of what is being observed.
Religeon = a belief held in the absence of knowledge to help overcome the human condition of fear of the unknown which the ecclesiastical establishment and the arrogant elitists mistakenly called faith
Perhaps the branes in M-theory are really big brains which might be the reason for conscious life in our universe. Perhaps the termination of our biological clock could be the state of higher awareness in other words we could still be alive in another universe or in a hidden dimension!
I just realized something! Maybe the two theories of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics aren't contradictory after all! Simultaneity (i.e. paradoxes) in relativity has a strong correlation to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle!!! Give me my Nobel prize now. lol.
There is an infinite number of universes and we are sure of that because we have always been wrong thus far. Therefore, destroy this one best we can because infinite ones exist. Have faith. This is the unraveling string to justify the psychopath destructors of this world. They would have us believe there is no consequence.
so, there is no god, there is no heaven or hell... there is however an invisible, intangible force that shapes our universe and controls our fate practically, and there are other realities which we can't see, but where anything may be possible, including a world of fire and humans with horns and a world of light and humans with wings... i think we're right back where we started ;)
If you're not keen on philosophical views and their derivatives, please head down the isle where religion lies. It's simply the solution for a permanent halt in your sense of wonder and reasoning.
From what I've seen in most of the scientific videos, instead of discussing the subject the idiots out there arguing about whether the god exists or not. Go watch Justin Bieber videos instead of wasting your time with the stuff that you can't process with that flowerpot you call brain. I'm slowly losing the fracture of what it's left of my hope in humankind
Bah, it's not about God at all. Somehow the human creation of an idiot, primitive ape mind doesn't float into my mind when I'm taking some real, motherfucking pleasurable science
@bam906 And how's that? The knowledge we obtain from investigating reality debunks the absurb claims made by religion outright. This world is not 6000 years old, it is not flat, and we don't come from Adam & Eve but from apes.
It's not a difference of opinion or style--we're finding that religion's view on reality is plain false. Witch doctors and modern surgeons don't coexist in harmony either--one makes the other an outdated concept, to the betterment of everyone.
Right now I'm having doubts of M-theory! First of all I was taught that physics is an experimental science and secondly the word universe means the totality of everything that exists! M-theory is not a proper theory of physics! It is just as philosophical as religion! Arrogant theoretical physicists such as Hawking & Susskind and arrogant theists are delusional!
is there any chance that a scientist, after spending all his life over experiments, books, laws, problems and equations, will come and say "hey people you know what? there is a god!!" ??
you cannot ask why do people believe in God because our relation with God is the same with people! it 's based on expirience! You cannot ask me "hey man why do you love this girl don't you see how ugly she is??" i love her because i "lived" things with her that other people did not.
@scaleoc994 with that you can say "well i saw a unicorn so i believe in it, even if no one has seen one so am gonna waste my time searching for one" this is exactly the case for religion, people wasting there time for a BOOK. and yes you can ask a person "why do you love that girl?" and yes its because of experiences with that person, that is not the case for god because experience is based on REALITY. what you feel and think its experience wih god is actually your brain releasing chemicals
Strings or M theories are pure SF. The so called physicians behind them pure dreamers, lunatics. Too bad that this “professors” are financed with tons of money by governments to create stories pointless for our world wile people are still dying from hunger and lack of vaccines. This is how the science became ugly ..
@FallofDarkness55 Have I told you that I believe in God? Or is an assumption you made by your idiotic mind? Is the science nowadays only about proving the existence of superior intelligence? How many BOOKS have you read about this subject? Or you learn on youtube? Try to READ physics my idiotic friend before "scientifically" open your mouth showing the blackhole in your head! This is crap not physics ! As stated, this is pure SF. Nothing better then religion.
@FallofDarkness55 Since when my perception about reality concerns you? The disappointed thing, obviously for you is that are many people which thinks like me and don't bother to argue against people like you. The fact that you, the sustainer of this theories are so offensive against non-agreeable comments demonstrates how week are they against what we see, taste or feel. But yes, I agree. Your reality is like the ass with the "black hole" in the middle. This is the place you chose to originate..
Religion is one of the main sources of ignorance in this society. Generations are forced to believe a certain idea, rather than their own. They are completely blinded by stupidity.
it's not surprising that elementary particles don't have exact locations since at that level of magnification they're not solid objects but waves/energy/information.
it's not necessary to invoke parallel universes to explain that. the latter is an implication of m-theory, not a hypothesis XP
@mansondevil33 I'm sorry to inform you that some of the smartest people in the world still believe in a god my friend... and to not allow that possibility without 100% positive evidence (which can never really happen) that one does not exist is more "simplistically-minded" in my humble opinion.
This is total speculation, but what if Universes are located in membranes in hyperspace, wouldn't that seem quite similar to a universe sized particle? Is it possible (just bear with me) that each universe is a giant Hadron? or the stars themselves could be giant hadrons but at a more enormous scale and with an enormous time slowing effect due to the human being so small in relative, and made of a more energy based; less mass based energetic form than "superspace" matter?
This might make you angry, but I have to point it out... An infinite number of universes theoretically proves God's existence. God would, by the necessity of an infinite number of universes, have to exist in AT LEAST one of these universes. In fact EVERYTHING would have to be true in an infinite multiverse. I respect everyone's beliefs and disbeliefs. I PERSONALLY believe that there's nothing more foolish and lacking in intellegence than to claim you know everything.
@jibblesmgee There cannot be an infinite amount of universes or time, because if there was an infinite amount of time in the past we would have to transverse an infinite amount of time to get to the present so that logically cannot happen.
@meeene4 I understand that the only reason we can measure this world is because we are alive in this universe to observe it. Time is merely our perception of simultaneous events. I wasn't advocating one way or the other, I was just speaking hypothetically. Nobody KNOWS how many universes there are, but even Stephen Hawking has supported that there could be an infinite number of them. Without observers, time doesn't exist at all.
@jibblesmgee thank you i have been saying this to persons for a good while now its just our way of creating a framework for understanding what our counsiousness percieves simultaneous and overlapping events as
Wow he really can skate

Where in place of the energies, we observe with our brains matter, when what is in reality, multi-positional feilds of energy. Our observations of these energies seem to us, to define there positions, but do they really? Or is this perception but a possibility that has thus far allowed the observer to navigate the gauntlet of extinction, due to a perception of reality that has been of benefit to our ancestor's ability to necessitaie it's survival.
yellowhue30 5 months ago

MEMBRA1N 7 months ago
I've changed my mind about this theory. It's not a religion. It's far more logical than any religion. It would explain where our universe came from and why particles have mass. Calling M-theory a religion is ignorant because that's like calling a scientific hypothesis a religion. Right now M-theory is only a scientific hypothesis for the origin of the universe.

Russell wrote that if he claimed that a teapot were orbiting the sun, it would be nonsensical for him to expect others not to doubt him on the grounds that they could not prove him wrong." - Bertrand Russell
JoshuaFVrooman 8 months ago
@JoshuaFVrooman You're quoting a guy who refers to himself in the third person? Also, his example contains quadrupole negatives, which is something that people do to befuddle an issue that they don't know what they're talking about. Removing the first double negative would produce "it would be sensible for him to expect others to doubt him..." And that shows that his logic is illogical. At the end of the day, people should be skeptical but trust the side with more evidence and logic.

FallofDarkness55 7 months ago
@FallofDarkness55 It's on my bookshelf. I'm Agnostic, my view on religion as a whole is an outdated interpretation of our place in the cosmos. But we neither have the evidence or the mental capacity to fully comprehend our place even now.
God is clearly a man made concept, it's our representation of our creation. And, in my opinion it's outdated at best.
JoshuaFVrooman 7 months ago

Badtreewater 8 months ago

However, telepathy does not.

The Implications..

What if the membrane is centient? And where did the idea of parallel universes come from?
gamon5 11 months ago
This might make you angry, but I have to point it out... An infinite number of universes theoretically proves God's existence. God would, by the necessity of an infinite number of universes, have to exist in AT LEAST one of these universes. In fact EVERYTHING would have to be true in an infinite multiverse. I respect everyone's beliefs and disbeliefs. I PERSONALLY believe that there's nothing more foolish and lacking in intellegence than to claim you know everything.
jibblesmgee 11 months ago
@jibblesmgee There cannot be an infinite amount of universes or time, because if there was an infinite amount of time in the past we would have to transverse an infinite amount of time to get to the present so that logically cannot happen.
