Hey Man! I will stop my writing but it´s not because of you Mr nbBer, it´s because of my grandpa, one of the members of The Zettlers. He has inspired me a lot about the "unknown rock-music from the 60s but has told me clearly to "calm down" about the writing. So, please hold your minded musical mouth closed - it´s a free world.
I really like this kind of raw, rough and honest garage rock from the 60s. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from that period that didn´t "reach the high level". But, it´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen (Youtube) for example to:
THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah".
Really really great!! With a bloody driving beat!!
THE GOLLIWOGS and the tune "Tell me". Check up the singer...Yes, it´s him!!
Names, names. It doesn't matter. We know that the Wailers, the Sonics, Don & the Goodtimes, Dave Lewis, the Kingsmen, Paul Revere & the raiders, were part of our scene... peace
What;s that supposed to mean? I like the other Wailers, and this is a real kick-ass song by itself, but why put the reggae group down? They're both real, and I happen to like reggae, and they were both good groups, so I don't see any necessity for a comparison or putdown bwt either group because they were each good in their own way.
stately: Like Raggae all you want......nobody's stopping you! ;-) You didn't grow up with "our" Wailers in the Pacific Northwest like we did. To us, these guys are the REAL Wailers!. We saw them in action all those years ago and they were GREAT!!
It's also VERY interesting to me how another raggae group stole ANOTHER one of or our own GREAT PNW rock group's names "The Viceroys"!! (coincidence?) I'd like to hear them TRY to do "Granny's Pad" in Raggae style.....Ha ha!
Got a mono copy of the LP in the mail today. All I gotta say is WHAT THE FUCK WAS IN THE WATER IN WASHINGTON STATE???
Mind........ BLOWN

Shit, if the the Stooges and the MC5 are known as the proto punk bands, then these guys are definitely the original Paleo-Punks. THEY ROCK.
