I think one of the themes of the show is how bad things happen to those who are morally good in this type of environment. look at wallace, d'angelo, dukie, randy, etc. all of those people were good/likeable characters, but bad things ended up happening to them

With that being said, how could any of this equal "white?"

Its true up to a point that Bodie and Poot would have been in danger if they hadn't killed Wallace but they still should have done something to try and get out of killing him. The kid should be clipped round the ears, or fired, or whatever.. Throwing a bottle next to his head is just stupid. If it cut him real bad then theres no lookout for the day and a loss in profits and security. Someone's gotta drive him to hospital, figure out if he's ok and manage his replacement.
D'angelo knows this someone is him and he rightly gets pissed off. Bodie's got heart and loyalty but needs to be told what to do - he doesn't understand the consequences of his actions enough.

"Wallace was normal"? That's a kinda biased perspective. From the POV of the people growing up in neighborhoods like that, Bodie'd be considered normal. Wallace still retains the innocence of a child would be a more appropriate statement, though even that's debatable when you consider characters like Kenard.

Its true up to a point that Bodie and Poot would have been in danger if they hadn't killed Wallace but they still should have done something to try and get out of killing him. I think if D'Angelo had been asked to kill Wallace he would have gone to the cops and got protection from them rather than done it. Stringer Bell was the most responsible for Wallaces death but Bodie and Poot weren't blameless.

He died in the 1st season. Stringer had bodie and poot kill him. Can't remember it clearly, but I think he was about to snitch. He either was about to snitch, or he wasn't but rumor got out that he was going to. Can't remember it that clearly. It's been a long time since I seen Season 1.

But yeah, like somebody else said, the word came from Stringer, he was the boss, and you can't go against the bosses orders. It's not like they popped wallace because they wanted to. Bodie even told wallace, "you should'a kept yo ass out there in the country". If he was still out there then they wouldn't know where he was, and wouldn't have to kill him.
