What is the point of this? This guy is pathetic. I can't believe people this stuff and call it good teaching. He reminds me of so many thirty something males that haven't yet grown up. SAD!!
This from a guy who said Jesus was forced to consume vinegar and you-konw-what while hanging on the cross (which frequently was an impaling frame modelled after the Roman idol Priapus).
mark you are ever so amusing...... however, cow feces still is less gross. also some cultures do that. i dont know of any culture who cooks over human feces........
@Icannottolerateit tell you what then. Why don't you grow a mega church from the ground up and pastor dozens of locations as well as constantly write relevant books and show us what kind of humor we're all supposed to have.
@Icannottolerateit But the Bible also says to only throw stones if we're without sin, as well as not to condemn false prophets because at least the Gospel is getting out there. You may not like Mark, but at least he's doing something for God. You're an internet troll sitting around telling people how they should be doing things instead of actually getting out and doing something. If you don't agree with what Mark is doing, fine, get off your mom's couch and go do something bigger and better.
@Donaldmccaig How can you affirm your statement that "I do nothing". That is quite the stone throw as it is unfounded, whereas statements concerning how similar this church is to other non-functioning churches is something I could write an entire book on.
Unfortunately those who are doing the most are not famous. Christ was an absolute non-entity that no one knew about before baptism. Elijah and Moses were nobodies before God called them forth. Preparation is something everyone forgets.
@Donaldmccaig I own my house and do not owe a bank anything in regards to it. I have visited youtube three times this last month in order to communicate with a fellow brother in Scandinavia who has no fellowship that needs advice and edification. I give him words of encouragement concerning the work the great revival work God is about to rain down.
Paul threw stones and the Corinthian church because faulty churches need to be corrected.
@Donaldmccaig It says not to condemn false prophets? Have you ever read Ezekiel and what God requires of his watchman in regards to their correction of false prophets?
Did you forget what Jeremiah said to the false prophets who spoke lies relating to the captivity?
Did you forget what Jesus said to the pharisees and scribes?
"They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain"
@JOLYJOLY2007 I'm sure God has a sense of humor or he wouldn't have created some of the animals he did. Nor would he have given us the ability to laugh. We are created in his image and laughter is proven to be healthy. so....
That Judge 3:20-22 would be considered humorous (scatalogical or not) is evidence of the relative nature of humor. Think of the kind of difference there is between the mindset of a man who has a somber and assertive outlook of that scripture, and one who find it funny. And cooking over feces is more effective because of the methane gas that it produces - again, relative humor, but not at all inherently funny.
The point was to get an emotive response from Israel, whether of outright disgust or of embarassed, groaning laughter. We can speak of ourselves as sinners without realising how disgusting we are to God, we can also speak of being fools for Christ (1 Cor 4:10) without really feeling foolish as Paul did. Ezekiel's dramatic prophecies were using the ridiculous to say to God's people: see yourself like THIS. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, you are foolish and disgusting, you are being warned!
Another scatalogical: is when Nicodemus was totally perplexed. He asked Jesus: "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" NOTE this: Nicodemus, a prominent member of the Sanhedrin, and a man of wealth asking a question as such is humorous.

"nor foolish jesting"
Christ never told jokes....there was simply not time or place for it.

@Donaldmccaig Gideon did far more with a few hundred than Marc will ever do with his thousands.
Those in the upper room numbered around 120 and did more in one day than Marc will do with his thousands in all their life times combined.
Purity is more important than numbers. I would rather die than pastor such a church in such a manner, as such condemnation will be immense.
False prophets always had large followings, especially the ones that get certain things correct.

@Donaldmccaig You are mistaken in your assertion that correction is somehow "throwing stones".
Paul corrected Cephas in front of everyone very sternly, did he not?
Jeremiah sternly corrected Zedekiah, did he not?
Isaiah sternly corrected Hezekiah, did he not?
Nathan sternly corrected David, did he not?
Elijah sternly corrected Ahab several times, did he not?
Marc is not a heretic, but he certainly has acted presumptuously and touched the ark as a layman. His church is unclean and menstrual.

Judges 3 mentions nothig about smell, intestines, or contents of intestines.

There's also a lot of fancy embellishment on the Ezekiel 4 passage. The point was to drive home Israel's sin, it was not a scatological JOKE/HUMOR!

Judges 3:22b (KJV)
"...and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out."
I don't think Eglan had pine mulch in those guts of his lol
AndreTheGigante 3 years ago 13
It depends on your translation of the bible, some versions have "The dirt came out" omitted, such as the NIV i believe.
Toaststealer 2 years ago
Yes, but also the NIV isn't the best translation of the Bible. It is like a paraphrased translation of the Bible.
