Beautiful. This is one of the first songs I really remember hearing as a child, and you have certainly done a fantastic job. Some of the endings to certain lines seem a little abrupt but otherwise quite amazing. My favorite lullaby ever.

Absolutely wonderful voice love, not to mention the most mesmerizing eyes I've ever seen.

There were a couple of sentence ends that seemed a bit abrupt, but not so it was detrimental particularly. Strangely my society sing verse 2 & 3 the other way around, as we've got it on the score, yet I've heard more versions on youtube with it your way round.

In my experience full highland bagpipe isnt played since its so loud it drowns out everything else. maybe Northumbria anyway this is a choral arrangement that's the whole point.

Later I discovered a photography in the appartment of my grandmother:

a column at a lake (Loch Shiel).

She did not knew anything about it either - but I recognized the image.
