i smoked and drove for the first time last night, the one leading thing pot haters say kills people when they do it. It made me stick to the speed limit and concentrate on the road harder than i ever had in my life. i backed up five feet when i was drunk a couple weeks ago and almost hit my buddies car. It is simply ridiculous that marijuana isn't legal, ive never caused damage to my friends things, or woken up with a sore jaw because i got punched in the face by one of my high friends.
So there are anti drug use commercial. But we have all seen the pro smoking adverts.. anything from Jazz music to cheech and chong is pro weed commercial.
These COmmercials fix a short term, adn scare children and religious fanatics away, but guess what, when they do inevitably try it, and the realization spreads that these commericials were mostly lies and false propaganda, maybe then we will finally have legalization
these commericals dont help at all by them demonizing marijuana when kids try it they find out that this isn't as bad as we've been lead to believe. So they think the same principle applies to other drugs. Thanks above the influence for getting kids hooked on crack but at least its not marijuana right?

I wouldn't however compare womans rights with smoking weed though. weed in and of itself isn't bad, but it brings about a lot of bad things. drug cartels, murders (not by smoking it, but sales) and billions of dollars of u.s. money being sent to drug cartels in mexico. of course, a lot of these things wouldn't be such a problem if it were legal, but it's not, and until it is, your a criminal :(

Look as long as marijuana is illegal, people are going to tell you not to do it. The fact is that the government spends more money on marijuana eradication than meth amphetamine eradication, that pisses me off. When I smoke it's like I'm seeing the world in a different way and I can relate to everybody, no one has differences. I know a guy that does meth, and he will beat the shit out of you when he becomes paranoid.
Well, it's rare that people start with meth. People usually start with weed cause it's a safe drug, and then they are exposed to meth by new friends or dealers. I'd say the solution to this is not getting rid of weed (which btw will never happen), but rather legalizing it so we can create a much clearer line between safe drugs and dangerous ones like they have done in the Netherlands. That is working out great in comparison to the no tolerance policy other countries run!
Not to mention a very profitable to a few fake war... its win win for the elite and lose lose for the rest of us... drug users and none drug users a like. Its all a game, its all a distraction.

Marijuana legalization would be beneficial in so many ways all the way from the smoker to the government. countries who have decriminalized pot Amsterdam Portugal ext the amount of people using pot has stayed stable however while in this country while smoking isdaily and criminal routine for so many people who are other wise responsible adults in these countries smoking is a legal and respectable thing why should we be prosecuted for the possession of a natural and harmless substance?

The funny thing with the "Above the Influence" campaign is that actually really helped me in changing my views about weed.
I used to be completely against marijuana a couple years ago, but when "Above the Influence" started coming out with their ridiculous ads, (the "animated" alien ad and the one at 2:27 ESPECIALLY annoyed me), I started to realize, thanks to these ads, that I knew nothing of weed and eventually became pro-marijuana.
So I thank these bad ads for turning me pro-weed. (=

Many protested then and again when they tried to roll it back to 18. One way to challenge it is to petition to change laws requiring minimum military recruitment age to be raised to 21. Use your argument. Get enough attention on that one to encourage open discussion.

The only thing keeping the drug traffickers in business IS the war on drugs. It's economics 101, if drugs were legal then there would be no risk involved in developing and selling them and, therefore, no profit. Nobody would bother getting into it because they wouldn't be making enough money. They'd have to make drugs on such a MASSIVE scale in order to make a profit that it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

And there would be cleaner drugs, the sale off drugs can be controlled, less lifes would be destroyed by the government and the police, and since organised crime would fall to pieces less lifes would be taken by criminals, and above that a lot of jails can be closed and a lot of money can be made. I wouldn't however compare womans rights with smoking weed though. weed in and of itself isn't bad, but it brings about a lot of bad things. drug cartels, murders (not by smoking it, but sales) and billions of dollars of u.s. money being sent to drug cartels in mexico. of course, a lot of these things wouldn't be such a problem if it were legal, but it's not, and until it is, your a criminal :(

Well, it's rare that people start with meth. People usually start with weed cause it's a safe drug, and then they are exposed to meth by new friends or dealers. I'd say the solution to this is not getting rid of weed (which btw will never happen), but rather legalizing it so we can create a much clearer line between safe drugs and dangerous ones like they have done in the Netherlands. That is working out great in comparison to the no tolerance policy other countries run!

The funny thing with the "Above the Influence" campaign is that actually really helped me in changing my views about weed.
I used to be completely against marijuana a couple years ago, but when "Above the Influence" started coming out with their ridiculous ads, (the "animated" alien ad and the one at 2:27 ESPECIALLY annoyed me), I started to realize, thanks to these ads, that I knew nothing of weed and eventually became pro-marijuana.

Many protested then and again when they tried to roll it back to 18. One way to challenge it is to petition to change laws requiring minimum military recruitment age to be raised to 21. Use your argument. Get enough attention on that one to encourage open discussion.

It's economics 101, if drugs were legal then there would be no risk involved in developing and selling them and, therefore, no profit. Nobody would bother getting into it because they wouldn't be making enough money. They'd have to make drugs on such a MASSIVE scale in order to make a profit that it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
