I live in the UK, London and its definately a tradition to kiss on the countdown, however most people do that when theyre drunk anyway so its hard to tell what the kissings a ll about:S haaha. My worst NYE: 2007. My bf and I tried to go to Disneyland but the tickets had sold out and then we spent the night in the hotel because I got food poisoning from Weinershnitzel... ya, I thought I was going to die, vomiting all night all because of a hot dog.
One year my sister and I were both baby sitting and we started not feeling so well because we were getting ....Chicken Pox! Awesome...We had 2 bratty girls on our hands and we felt like blah! Not everyone will have that happen. I mean some people who have outstanding personalities will live a life filled with awesomeness. And you know, you probably have a decent personality, so I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just be a good person and live your dreams

OMFG I HAD THE BEST NEW YEARS EVERRRR i went to the isle of wight with some friends, and we'd passed out by maybe six in the morning next day. McDonalds for breakfast, soaking up the hangovers, and then a long train ride back.
Worst new years, I couldnt find anywhere to go in time, and noone would save me, and I ended up at my GRNDPARENTS HOUSE while they all played BRIDGE and it was BORING and all these SERIOUSLY OLD people were there. D:D:
My worst new years was 1999-one, the countdown to the new millenium. We were at this restaurant, and it was going to be this big communal party at the town house for anybody who wanted to join.
But the city was so crowded, we decided to go out of the city and have our own party. We took the train, but then the train had to stop because of new year-hooligans, and then we had to WALK five stops in knee-high snow with party clothes, because you couldn't get a taxi. But we got there in time!

and he didnt talk to me at all that nite. he was with his ex before me for basicly the whole night. and he still tells her he loves her. and thats bs. but wen the ball dropped he kissed me. and didnt say anything the rest of the time until it was time to leave. he gave me a hug bye and walked off. then i saw him and her together in eachother arms. later on i got a call from his ex saying not to mess with him any more bc they are talking. so my new years sucked and its continuing bc of that nite

well my new year sucked. ok this is the story. i was in a fite with my mom and got kicked out the house so i went to my dads for a couple of days. then it was new years eve and i had no plans whatsoever bc me and bff were in a fite as well. but after a couple of days things got between me my mom and my friend. so my friend asked me to go to this thing at the skating rink with her so i did. and my ex didnt want me going bc of all the drama. but i did any wayand he went w/o me knowing.

Not everyone will have that happen. I mean some people who have outstanding personalities will live a life filled with awesomeness. And you know, you probably have a decent personality, so I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just be a good person and live your dreams

worst new years ever last year-- my boyfriend (at the time) was in florida so i went to a house party with my best friends. and you're right, kandee!! EVERYONE came out of the woodwork! all these people i didn't even know were trying to kiss me and i was like, uh hello, i have a boyfriend...not to mention... You are soo right about the whole pressure thing! I'm normaly a "party-girl", but EVERY new years I have a huge fight with myself (if I should go to a party or not) and it always turns out, I stay home and everyone else goes to parties :(
But the best new years ever was when my two best friends and I just talked the whole night and forgot when it was 00.00! :D

YAY for crappy high school experiences! I had the WORST high school experience... and to be honest, every time people talk to me about all that drama, i'm glad that I made it through... However I didn't go to any parties or do anything fun... I had work the next day at 6am... maybe next year... :/

I know what you mean about pressure to go out and do something. I don't even LIKE parties, yet every new year I feel like I should be at one. My new years are boring - I watch the twilight zone marathon with my husb and kiss him at midnight. No worries there, because he is the only other person around! :D

i had such a bad new years haha one of my best friends fell down the stairs and cracked his head open and i had a panic attack and passed out from the blood.. i also had a massive fight with my boyfriend and had to walk 3 hours to get to a bed to sleep in :)

i can totally relate to you. hs was not fun for me i was the loneer geekyt girl with braces.............and now those who were like "cool" are well they are alredy living the life of a 30 yr old person....which kinda sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some of them just went up to hs, and im college and making something of myself.....and i agree....is only gonna get better!! :)

I'm probably still weird now but I'm so much more confident and happy and 180 times different than those awful h.s. days. THERE IS HOPE!

I got my heart broken a year ago by a stupid boy. This year I was with my best friend from high school and who is also my boyfriend. We watched the Vegas Strip go off with fireworks. It was one of the best new years eves ever. And it was my first new years kisses too! It was awesome.

I agree that people who have all their fun in high school tend to get stuck there. When I came back from college, the people who ostracized me were working at Walmart, hehe...
I go to church every NYE, and I have a blast. Definitely no pressure there...just show up, eat, talk, laugh...it's fun for me. (:
Those who don't have anything to do, though, should throw their own ball drop watch party...order pizza/movies and chill with friends...the streets are too crazy around that time anyway...

OMFG I HAD THE BEST NEW YEARS EVERRRR i went to the isle of wight with some friends, and we'd passed out by maybe six in the morning next day. McDonalds for breakfast, soaking up the hangovers, and then a long train ride back.
Worst new years, I couldnt find anywhere to go in time, and noone would save me, and I ended up at my GRNDPARENTS HOUSE while they all played BRIDGE and it was BORING and all these SERIOUSLY OLD people were there. D:D:

My worst new years was 1999-one, the countdown to the new millenium. We were at this restaurant, and it was going to be this big communal party at the town house for anybody who wanted to join.
But the city was so crowded, we decided to go out of the city and have our own party. We took the train, but then the train had to stop because of new year-hooligans, and then we had to WALK five stops in knee-high snow with party clothes, because you couldn't get a taxi. But we got there in time!
