@1kash123 Ive never heard of adding vanilla extract to make lotion. When I've made body products, I use the fragrances that say Vanilla. I buy mine from naturesgardencandle
Hi...amazing work there..u are soo informative.I have just one question...We dont drink alcohol is there an alternative to the vodka that we can use to make this extract?thnx
i read a little on non alcoholic alternatives: using vanilla powder or purchasing vanila extract made without alcohol, although I read that its icky. Here is a recipe I found: 2 vanilla beans
1 1/2 cups glycerin
1/2 cup warm water
Directions
Slit beans down the middle, and scrape down seeds.
Place both in glycerin and warm water.
Place in a dark jar (or a light jar in a dark place).
question: so now how would you make lotion from this extract you have made. Would it be ok to add olive oil to it.

This is wonderful in but I'm wondering about clear vanilla...how is that made differently?

Hi Joaaaann!
Clear vanilla is not real vanilla. It is imitation. Real vanilla beans will make the alcohol brown.
