The words that Max Ehrmann wrote in Desiderata 1920, have so much meaning to them, if only the world would listen.. as the poem says.. "Be at peace with God, whichever that God may be" .. Love the words, love the video, thank you for sharing.. I will add it to my favourites..

@RevMCDDD The poem is nice, apart from the part on a god. I pity those who need to believe in deities, in an ultimate reward or punishment. One should always forge his own moral code and base it on judgment, intelligence and kindness, but not faith, for faith is but a tool that can be turned against you by clouding your judgment.

So yes, I agree with the message, just not with the mythological ending.

@CrankyCrone ...well everyone has their own way of illustrating and expressing their ideas of the poem. Maybe this person likes the religious view. Just me, if were to illustrate, I would've used mostly nature to bring out it's beauty. We all have different ideas. :0)

My brother gave me Desiderata framed for a gift 30 years ago. Author was unknown at the time. These are principles I have lived by for many years which have kept me from making too many mistakes. I wish I had read it every day. This is truly inspirational. Good rules to live by.
