China is the one making the money, they are the ones who overlook this all for proit.
The stories you have read are not really the truth in whole, they are a very small fraction of the truth. A country is an industrial power house, they are a communist state too, so workers are paid next to nothing, same as in Vietnam where allot of legit companies make goods, such as Nike, the real crooks are the name brand companies, they only care about themselves getting paid, not people who make them.
The people who are making these are normal textile people in China, they are just trying to make some money, the people who sell them here in the US, they are a criminal element.
The Chinese government is undermining the west, attacking our financial markets, our retail markets, everything. The replica market make tens of billions of dollars, the wealthy are fighting the wealthy, and China isn't going to stop. They have 100% copied cars there, toyota and lexus, BMW, the car parts are the same!!
Valentino is also under investigation for involvement in the vatican money laundering scandal. There is more, and worse. People are after wealth, both the Chinese and the Italians are big into crime, and the Italian fashion industry and the mob go way back. You should research a little more before jumping to your conclusions....everyone is corrupt in business and government, that's life, why do you thing American companies outsource,it's legal to outsource for cheap labor! pennies on the dollar
@simonenglish1 alright lets get somethings straight,i never said that the fashion industry isnt corrupt or anything of that sort. The point of this video was to address the concequences of buying designer fakes and the negative outcome. Yes i understand what your trying to say,but im trying to get the point accross that it's disrespectful, what the designer does on their personal time is none of my business
@bronzebeauty14 The issue you were addressing is the criminal element in the replica industry, children being made to work in factories, slave labor and so on. Look inside your clothing labels and see where it's made. Then some of the very high end stuff will say made in Italy and Made in France, which in truth is normally just the final destination of completion of the product. These companies outsource to the very same people who make the fakes in China, Southeast Asian and South America.
@simonenglish1 also putting the personal stuff behind, imagine working so hard on something and then someone making a cheap replica and basically making the money you shud be becuase its your design
@bronzebeauty14 it's not really the design, but rather the name use, you can't copyright a bag or a shoe, you can copyright the name. The issue is the name use, and people making money from it, as for quality of the fake items, there are fakes that are as good quality as the originals, so much so that there is no difference.
This is all about money, not the artists rights, a designer house is full of designers, not just the name sake designer.
in 2008 Gucci was in a legal battle for trade mark violation themselves, the victim was the violator , funny that they think their allowed to steal from people, but the people stealing from them is wrong.
Earlier this month, Marc by Marc Jacobs publicist Tim Garcia, under house arrest because of a criminal investigation, spent the night in a Gucci jacket and YSL, his father is a general in the Philippines, they are under investigation for ill gotten gains.
Kate Moss: Famous for indulging in substance abuse, the supermodel was even caught doing cocaine on the camera.
Peter Braunstein: A former WWD writer Peter Braunstein posed as a fireman on Halloween raped a girl is her apartment and absconded and was finally nabbed on a college campus. The now called ‘Halloween rapist’ is still behind the bars.
dolce & gabbana, ferragamo both have been caught for tens of millions in tax frauds, and lying to the italian government on where and who manufactures their goods, and where they run their businesses from. Then we have others within the fashion industry such as Jon Alexander: A designer has dressed bigwigs including Paris Hilton, Michelle Rodriguez and Mary J. Blige was recently charged with forcible rape with minors.
Naomi Campbell: The supermodel has been accused beating her staff.
Here is a reality check, where do the real bags come from? What Italian designers are currently under investigation for money laundering? Have you ever gone to the fabric manufactures factory, ones that the fashion houses buy from?
The fashion industry has placed allot of money into hiring publicist to fight the war on replicas, but the reality is many of the items used on the authentic bags are also the very same used on the fakes. The fashion industry is no moral compass!
I love that you did this video! That's why when I showed what's in my makeup( it's a Louis Vuitton) I made sure I showed the dustbag, box, and receipt so people won't assume what I'm holding is a fake. There should be more girls like you on YouTube :) Some girls are unashamed of showing off a Chanel Cambon bag and expect knowledgable people to believe its real. Just pathetic.
