  • Warbonnet Blackbird or DD Traveller ... bottom entry is lame.

  • I have one of those and also a Hyperlite. For easier and faster setup, I make a quick half-hitch at either end just to determine the height and slack I want, then I replace the half-hitches with bowline hitches, and that way the hammock doesn't slip. An even quicker setup option is to use carabiners.

  • ricktreks ....Good tip....

  • they look great but al bet there not warm on colder nights as the air is going all round good vid though

  • hanghoodiescum ...Not that bad with a sleeping bag...Thanks for watching...

  • perfectshot77 I have had this a little over a year and it's still doing ok... I don't know if they have a warranty you may need to check out the website for that information...Thanks

  • i just got one

  • @Hissatsu5 great you'll like it...

  • so if it starts raining hard there will not be aenough room under the fly to hang out and stay dry while you are cooking or whatever.

to your mind what are the advantages over a tent or a light weight tarp set up?

  • It's possible and the hammock does allow it to be used as a chair to sit on instead of in....

The couple advantages I'm sold on is getting you off the ground and rigging on any type ground be it unlevel , rocks or wet...

  • is that the rain fly that came with it?

  • Yes it is.....

  • is that the ultra-light model?

  • Yes...It is...Thanks!!!!

  • Just ordered Hennessy Explorer with snakeskins largely due to this set of vids.Ur vids are so clear it shows how great these hammocks are. Thanks for showing so much detail.

  • Thanks so much for the comment and glad the VID helped...I think you'll really like the hammock I know I do...

  • Nicely done video. In my experience with this hammock, I've found it much easier to keep the hammock dry when setting up in the rain if the fly is packed separately. Hang the hammock leaving the snakeskins on until you've set up the fly. Then when you role the snakeskins back, you're under cover and no rain can get on the hammock.

  • Thanks...Great tip for the wet weather....

  • By far, the best video I have seen on this type of product. So very well done, I'm sold on this tent. Hennessy should supply you with gear for life!!

  • Thanks so much for the kind comments...I take it every time I'm out because its so easy to setup whether I want a quick break or I'm out overnight...

    Take care..

  • Good review, Enjoy the vids Sir!

  • Thanks....

  • Thanks..Hopefully it's useful information for someone out there....

  • Very good set-up video. Nice to see a set-up by a consumer and not just the one on the Hennessey website. no frills or thrills, just the facts mam. Thanks
