the clean energy movement should start in west virginia. give them actual clean jobs. these people work as hard as anyone else, but have a record of getting screwed over. a determination to survive should not go wasted, especially for greed. "clean" coal can eat it. blood might wash with water, but that doesn't make it gone. you are just diluting the problem.
I will never be convinced that a coal company, any coal company, will ever put the well being of their miners before profit. Profit is the bottom line. It always has been and always will be. Coal companies have taken from WV and its people for more than a century. Yes, conditions have improved since the days of Blair Mountain and the Miners' March but so much more could and should be done.
