Anyone can take their own meaning from it. I think it's like a reminiscing type song, they're remembering and imagining the summers or their childhoods, since throughout the show, they've grown up so much. It's the finale so it brings the story to a close, how even when things are cold and difficult, you have to find the summer. Maybe that sounds cheesy, I don't know, the song says it better. That's what I took from it at least. It's a beautiful song if nothing else.

This song is about closing the gap between adolescence and adulthood. Corn will always remain standing even if its dead and has no ears. Purple Summer is a flower that blooms in summer instead of spring and survives in harsh conditions. The main meaning behind this song is that even though your life is "totally fucked" things will become good again, no matter how sad.

those are the onstage ensemble. i'm not sure if you know, but there are onstage seats available for this show and there are about 3 or 4 cast members who dress regularly and sit onstage among the audience. and in many songs, they pull out microphones and begin to sing. it's very cool and really original :]

I thought, or rather I wished, that it was cast members that had left the show (like Gideon, Lauren, John Gal) that came back to sing the final number to see their old castmates off. If only....
