I'm a 16-year old boy and this game is absolutely amazing. People who say this is just for girls doesn't see the charm and potential this has. This is without a doubt, one of the best Nintendo DS games made, if not the best. This game deserves a lot more attention and praise than several other Mario games, and definitely deserves a sequel for Wii or 3DS.

It's actually NOT a girls game. It's meant to defeat the issue of how games were perceived but was a commercial flop because of the controversial emotion based moves that mimic PMS moodiness. It may have Peach on the cover but it's actually more like The Legend of Zelda when it comes to how you must use ingenuity to defeat the many various hurdles in the game.

... and for those that doubt me there was only ONE "press" of this game ever made. I could tell because I would visit Toys-R-Us and Best Buy over 18 months (the only retailers that were authorized to sell this game) and copies would not move. Same dust and sticker position etc. They only sold out recently due to the Christmas season and Nintendo will not be making more prints of this game because of the complaints from conservative parents noting the moodiness of Peach.

It was stated that the game was criticized for portraying Peach using her emotions to fight enemies (and in turn they thought Nintendo was taking a stab at women by showing the princess as a stereotyped overemotional girl). I personally don't think that was Nintendo's intent but this game did cause a little controversy.
