One of MANY examples: 30 to 55 Ma ago the indian subcontinent pushed into what is now Asia closing a body of water called the Tethys sea pushing up the sedimentary layers of the sea floor along with it's dead sea life- now largely limestone up to form the highest point on earth. The difficulty you seem to have is you examine these question in painfully simplistc terms. YOU ARE A VERY POOR SCIENTIST!

The mountains in my country are made of very old rock 400 million years old, that should have eroded away. But I dated a fault and others did Apatite Fission Track dating, they show these old rocks were uplifted <15 million years ago.
That is how an old Earth has mountains; mountain are continuously formed and eroded, it's called the "rock cycle".
