  • Your points show a very low level of understanding of scientific theories particularly those used in geology. Please learn what the scientific explanations for the world are before you start reading trash from long debunked and ignored websites like answersingenesis.

  • @Mattw2020 Your reply is pretty typical, basically just a religious declaration of faith in the state mandated creation myth coupled with an insult. If you would like to challenge my presentation with a scientific fact however, please do so. Have a look at present day erosion rates, consider that any uplifted rock will be igneous - not sedimentary, then try to explain why the continental underwater alluvial cones date to only 30,000 years at present rates of deposition. The earth is young.

  • this has to be a troll video, nobody is that dumb even in america, right?

  • @Mattw2020 If you have a scientific objection to the content, then lets hear it. Insults do not qualify - that's what trolls do. By the way, both the Sahara desert and Great Barrier Reef have been found to be only 5000 years old. The Mississippi delta cone is 30,000 years old (based on today's rates of accumulation). Salt accumulation in the ocean also yields a young date. C-14 is would in all dino bones and even in diamonds. How do you explain all this? Follow the science. This world is young.

  • @SeanPatrickMartinez Yes indeed! There are many many good proofs of a young earth and created life. All you need is a willingness to follow the science without insisting on a naturalistic explanation. If you're just open to the possibility of creation, the science easily proves it. Have a look at the scientists on my goofy channel, and those on the much better channels of other creationists. Also CMI, ICR, AIG, even Dr. Dino. Just trust the science - not the religion of evolution/old earth.

  • @alyosha24601 Sorry, but my comment was totally sarcastic. You do realize new rock is being formed everyday? I'm sorry but this theory of yours is just not adequate.

  • @SeanPatrickMartinez Well, I am disappointed, but, yes new rock is continually being formed, but it is igneous rock, not sedimentary. There is no way our world is so old. Why are the Great Barrier Reef and the Sahara desert exactly 5000 years old? Why is the underwater Mississippi Delta cone dated at only 30,000 years? Why isn't the sea entirely salted, when there is no mechanism to remove the 450 million tons of salt it gains every year? Why has the magnetic field declined 14% since 1829? Etc.

  • @alyosha24601 Hmmmmm, those are some pretty good points. But I'm sure there has to be other things that show the Earth is older than 5,000 years. But are you also arguing that God created the Earth 5,000 years ago?

  • @SeanPatrickMartinez Take the moon's orbit, it moves out 1 cm a year. Or how about the earth's rotation, it is slowing at about 1 second every two or three years. These things negate the possibility of an old earth. Or how about He and C-14 in the atmosphere - neither have yet reached equilibrium!!! If you just follow the science WITHOUT the religious/faith-based "there must be a naturalistic explanation" you'll see it's young. Bristlecone pine fossils tell us it's about 6600 years old.

  • @alyosha24601 Okay, then what about carbon dating sample dating back millions of years? How do dinosaurs and the fossils they leave behind play into your theory? What about the age of the other planets in our solar system? Are they the same age or was Earth somehow created millions of years after the solar system formed?

  • @SeanPatrickMartinez ...all short-lived phenomena: they cannot exist for "millions of years". As for their age, I think they are very close to our own, but I wasn't there. The solar system, and particularly the sun, moon, and Jupiter, are perfectly placed to preserve life on earth. Even a small change would destroy (fragile) life here. If you follow the SCIENCE, without the religious requirement for a naturalistic creation, the science will lead to a creator. It's the same in all disciplines.

  • @alyosha24601 All science has exclusively lead to naturalistic explanations for everything.

  • @TheAggressionScale Oh really? Can you please provide me with the scientific papers that explain the existence of right & wrong, the conscience, miracles, and the initial creation instant? You're mad at God, so you have constructed a make-believe all-naturalistic universe. Repent, then try to win back your wife.

  • @tonyonly2 Look, I'm happy to bat science back and forth, but all you can do is spew insults. Why don't you stop calling me an idiot and try my questions. You're the "scientist" right? First of all, tell me why geologists think the continents floated apart like lily-pads - not at the plate boundaries, but at the beaches. I'm sure you've seen the movies where S America fits perfectly into Africa. No more insults, answer this question then I'll answer one of yours.

  • @alyosha24601 You've never 'batted science'

They didn't drift apart from the beaches, the beaches formed due to arid oceanic exposure.

  • @DoomsdayWars You don't understand what I'm saying. Every schoolkid is taught that the continents drifted apart - the boundaries being at the beaches. I've seen this countless times myself. Yet the plate boundaries are in the ocean, far away. This is an example of the sloppy science that the old-earth naturalistic mindset promotes. You guys tell us we're riding on continental lily-pads! The facts point to a young earth.

  • @alyosha24601 You don't understand what I'm saying but that's nothing new. They didn't just split where beaches already were, beaches formed after the fact.

I wonder if you'll ever learn that I'm going to keep correcting your retardation, no matter what.

  • @DoomsdayWars Haven't you ever seen that make-believe movie where South America is wedged up into W Africa then mysteriously floats away in 500 million years or something? Everyone has seen it. THat's what I'm talking about - a big lily-pad! Ha ha ha ha ! They call that science!

  • Of course you interpret them differently! AND unscientifically! Global Flood? Ok you're suggesting that 1/4 mile of stratified FOSSILIZED sea life metamorphosed to limestone are the result of a global flood which occurred in Noah's time. IDIOT! You have not addressed a single point I've made with any sort of scientific rebuttal Why? you cannot! let's look at another scientific principle- CAUSE AND EFFECT, if you say ludicrously stupid things people will of course say you're stupid!

  • LOL another creationist dumbass

  • @hardstyle905 Nice name-calling but I see you have no response to the science presented here. Unfortunately, calling me names does not constitute a scientific argument. Old-earth and evolution don't fit the facts. This is why the surface cannot be billions of years old - the rate of erosion is too high. Throw out your religious naturalistic presupposition and you'll see that old-earth and evolution are religious quack science! Most of the world knows it.

  • 'The rate of global erosion tells us something very obvious about the age of the earth.'

Yes, that creationists aren't even dimly aware of plate tectonics and processes that produce new surface area

  • @TheScienceFoundation That could explain igneous rock - but not sedimentary. This earth is young.

  • @alyosha24601 Except you're now ignoring that there are also processes that produce layers on top of strata which act as a buffer.

  • @TheScienceFoundation Are you seriously suggesting that the earth somehow produces temporary blankets which protect for a half-billion years from erosion so sedimentary layers will survive? Then you call ME "religious"? Your "Science" Foundation should be more correctly named the "Scientism" Foundation! Atheism is at the basis of your beliefs, not science. Evolution and old-earth are total "quack science"!

  • @alyosha24601 Complete and utter strawman, sediment is continuously building up. I do like how you cowardly replied to a person which you had blocked, though.

Your borderline retardation in understanding actual geology/biology does not constitute it being 'quack science'

  • @ScienceOfTheMovies Hilarious. Sediment is "building up" ! Are you saying sediment goes uphill? Look, watch the video again. Erosion alone is proof that the surface of the earth is young. Now stop creating new accounts just so you can post science-free insults on my channel. Bother someone else.

  • @alyosha24601 "erosion alone is proof that the surface of the earth is young". Once again complete nonsense! you say you want a "scientific" debate well you still have not answered to the PROOF of the formation and erosion of the hawaiian island chain, Fossilized sea life on mount everest, the geomagnetic time scale and identical composition of rock on either side of the atlantic! your "erosion" theory holds no water no pun intended. So c'mon Mr."scientist teacher" did Satan do it to deceive us?

  • @tonyonly2 I see these things as well but I interpret them differently. The earth's surface has formed quickly, not in "millions of years". Fossils on Mt Everest are proof of a global flood. See above before you start name-calling again.

  • @alyosha24601 Well, yes in fact sedimentary layers can move uphill. One of MANY examples: 30 to 55 Ma ago the indian subcontinent pushed into what is now Asia closing a body of water called the Tethys sea pushing up the sedimentary layers of the sea floor along with it's dead sea life- now largely limestone up to form the highest point on earth. The difficulty you seem to have is you examine these question in painfully simplistc terms. YOU ARE A VERY POOR SCIENTIST!

  • @tonyonly2 Yes, I agree with you, but the situation in India is an exception. Surely you can't claim the earth has some kind of preference for keeping sedimentary areas afloat.

  • @alyosha24601 hey but wait a second i thought you said plate tectonics is quackery -now you agree with me? and next say it's PROOF of a global Flood.- Am I getting my point across to you? HELLO? HELLO? ANYBODY IN THERE? Maybe you should try passing a magnet over your head, erasing everything in your "brain" and starting from scratch! Your arguments are confused and don't even qualify as a hypothesis. Again I ask, HOW ARE YOU NOT EMBARRASSED?

  • @alyosha24601 "Evolution and Old earth are total quack science". That you claim to be a teacher is absolutely frightening to me. You have displayed such an incredulous argument here that i have to assume that you're suffering from a deficiency in reasoning such that you don't understand the nature and quality of what your saying -in short- you're INSANE!

  • @tonyonly2 So, since I don't agree with you I must be insane? You're no scientist - you're a teenage faker! Nevertheless, let's get back to the science. I have three questions for you Mr. "Geologist". Can you answer my questions and drop the insults for a while?

  • @alyosha24601 ok then let's get back to the science -I'm still waiting for you address my questions all you're doing is crying about hoe mean people are to you -well som eof the best scientist in the world have had to deal with some pretty harsh criticism- GET OVER IT! Yeah a global flood -REAL SCIENCE THERE! YOU ARE A JOKE!

  • @tonyonly2 I have erased three of your science-free insults and am getting close to blocking you. Now stop acting like an angry teenager and let's talk science, OK?

  • ive seen 9 inch stalactites on 30 year old buildings,

  • @magnusalexa "ive seen 9 inch stalactites on 30 year old buildings," Yes! I saw a 30" stalactite in a seven-year-old Chinese bathroom! A year later a guide at some Oregon cave pointed out a 12" soda straw and parroted the same tired mantra "Don't touch these because it took millions of years to form" After Mt St Helens we found 200' deep canyons that had formed in a day. This earth is young!
