i agree that david ryan harris' voice is much more developed and stronger than mayer's but its difficult to compare the two as john mayer has written some pretty kickass songs and he's a much more developed and skilled guitar player.

i disagree that mayer is a more skilled guitar player. he does have sick songs but drh is also a sick ass guitarist. why else would he be jm's number 2? the reason he's not more popular is that a)his image is not marketable andb) his music is too varied. it doesn't fall under one genre so it's difficult to sell an entire album to one audience.....
