It has nothing to do with clear picture, it has to do with eye focus. When on 2D plane you have static picture from movie, where main characters are in focus, and background is blurred, your eyes and brain accept blur as smear. But when making pseudo 3D, eyes try to focus those god-damn unrealistic production blur, and that is why you have headache.
A device that can actually track multiple persons and their eyes, and according to their "focus", focus image in and out per person, would be a hit.
