  • Mines a btch to start if its not 50degrees out

  • mine is a bitch to start when its cold

  • ya i got a 98 srx 700 and mine sat all summer and then it took like 5 pulls and after that it took one

  • In the beginning of the season I have to pull the plugs on my 98 SRX and clean them, then prime the cylinders with mixed gas. Only then can I get a first pull start. Other than that, love my machine.

  • @pigjamelectric

Yeah it can be a pain in the ass. You can also rock the primary back and forth 1/4 turns to prime the engine.

  • does this work as good as putting gas in the cylinders

  • @700triplesrx

    Yep.....

  • mine starts real good when its in the garage but if it sits outside all night its just a bear to start

  • been sitting over night cold night remove the plugs drop little gas down put plugs back in fires 2nd try if not 20 pulls before it fires?

  • i heard ur not supose to touch the throttle until the running boards are warm or you will foul plugs... is this true?

  • Is this cold start, after 1 day or more from running ? I have an srx 700 and it takes 10 plus pulls to start when cold . I am talking about a cold Motor not the outside air .

  • Bro if your sled takes 10 pulls something ain't right... Spark plugs, ignition coil, CDI Box, check them all. I got a '00 SRX and starts on 1 - 2 pulls if it sits for a week.

  • Most SRX's are a bitch after sitting a while. I spent alot of time working with jetting, adjusting and syncing the carburetors so it always started 1-2 pulls but since new it was a 5-7 pull sled when really cold.
