  • great song great album thx lads

  • Excellent song! Laden with history, philosophy, poetry, emotion and power - I used to sing it to my kids when they were babies... (Don't agree with treason, though).

  • God bless the sailors of Trafalgar, treated like shite when payed-off.

  • Treasonous scum, loyal to Bonapartist tyranny. Keep that noose tight.

  • @skeptickful I'd take Boneparte, for all his flaws, over any preening toff you have to offer- in 1796 or in 2011!

  • Bristol! gurt gert

  • One of my favorite songs of theirs. They do a a great job of telling a story of the history of the mutiny at The Nore and Spithead. Citizen mutineers indeed!!

  • I miss video tapes.

  • The vide warp at the start makes this.

  • I saw them at shewsbury castle world music day, years ago. They were STORMING!!!. Thanks for posting this.

  • Actually.....they did manage to hang a lot of them, though some concessions were made:

    )

  • Thanks for posting this.Best band ever.Going to see them in Glasgow on saturday.

  • F`kin love the men, they are the dogs! Hope to bump into you on this tour Joe Cush....doubt it!!

  • does anyone know what kind of guitar that acoustic guy is playing? with the weird soundhole, that looks cool...

  • It's an (Eston, I think) acoustic bass guitar.

  • ah yeah that's definately it, thanks!

  • Me and my brothers and sisters are used to sing this every time we meet...great to see this vid

  • I heared them first time in German Radio at the beginning of the 1990ies. Since that Time I am a fan of them.

  • Shite... I Love that fucking song!!!...saw them a million years ago at The Westward in Calgary, Canada and again last month at the Calgary Folkfest....brilliant band...even did a cool Clash cover...

  • This is one of the best british bands ever. Long liveEngland!! In spite of a brownie Cameron-stained government!!

  • Totally agree about them being so under rated. Their version of Green Fields of France is the best I have heard too.

  • Thanx for posting, cracking song and video from one of the best and most underrated British bands of all time.

  • od 20lat ich lubie

  • best post punk song since tenfold tudor

  • Been looking for this for so long, cheers xx

  • christ-I havent heard this in years.cheers for posting this great song.

  • I got Waintng for bonaparte from a bargin bin jn Helsingborg in 1989, been an insperastion ever since. Feel the chills right now.

  • Totally classic - I remember seeing this on the Chart Show when it came out.

    Always been a favourite.

  • Wow, never seen this video. Just whets the appetite for the gig next week. Saw them in August at Beautiful Days and they were the highlight of the weekend

  • aye... brings back fond memories. reminds me of finnegans footstompers an aw!

  • back in the 80s i book finnegans footstompers for the trolls bike club in dumfries they were fantastic

  • kunzie81, i was in finnegans at that time. we played dumfries a good few times and the crowd were always brilliant. great bunch of blokes the trolls!

  • Fantastic, I loved TMTCH!

  • Never saw this video before but one of my favourite songs ever from one of the best live bands I ever saw. The hairs on the back of my neck are standing on end even as I write.

  • I haven't seen video this for ages!

For me it's their best song thanks for posting it.

  • The best they did for me.

  • Great song, by a vastly under rated band.

  • Been waiting for someone to post this for fucking ages. Cheers!

  • Fantastic. Only ever seen this video th one time when it won the video vote on Saturday Superstore!! If I remember correctly it beat Fleetwood Mac Little Lies. I do remember the "colour by numbers" silhouettes and the semaphore flag waving. Great - thanks Gigny!!

  • Stefan Cush in fine form. Great stuff! I've wanted to see this clip again for over 15 years! Fell in love with this band the first time I heard this song. Today I suppose the Semphaphore seems silly, but it didn't seem so in 1987 when compared to all that Wham garbage.

  • I love this band, and this is one of their best - thanks so much!
