he failed to answer one question ... what is the difference between OLED and AMOLED? ... lol, to that he was again explaining the diff. between AMOLED and Super AMOLED .. at 2:40 i think..
Generally prices are depend on the unit cost / mass productivity within a new technology. And it would be adjusted in each bunch of their market circumstance.
the thing people don't consider with this stuff is that things can become better AND more efficient at the same time. the reason most technologies don't do this is because it would be done early on in the development of the first type of technology, ie, the first people making the wheel pretty much ironed out all the flaws with the first product, making it really hard to improve on, but with screens it's different
basically the better screen tech ALLOWS it to be more efficient
wow, so its thinner AND more efficient??? damn, it doesnt make sense but i will research it and understand it more. if i dont understand it still, i will point to alien technology
I heard that Samsung is the ONLY manufacturer of cell phone Super AMOLED and it won't supply the display to other manufacturers for 18 months because it does not have enough supply for its own handsets, e.g., the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S Pro.
So we won't be seeing this technology on non-Samsung devices any time soon.
Haha... i'm watching it on a super amoled Display...

1.) True black (infinite contrast ratio) vs iPhone 4 CR at 800:1
2.) 1 MICRO seconds Refresh rate vs 5 mill seconds
3.) Infinite viewing angle vs varying degrees of brightness at different levels
4.) Emissive display has better color reproduction vs transmissive displays
5.) OLED doesn’t need a back-light so it’s thinner
NA.) Power consumption varies depending on scene. Black takes no power on
