@BaylorTank You are joking aren't you. He doesn't play the original bass line at all, there's a video on YouTube of the song being recorded in the studio and there are 2 bass players, one is John Taylor doing bugger all and the bass line you know from the song is the other bass player.

No lie...especially singing and playing bass at the same time! They tend to be at cross purposes with each other in most songs. :-)
