  • Every Metal Gear game starts with Snake with no weapons or equipment. That is how foxhound works, they are required to acquire them OSP (on site procurment)

  • I think you meant narcolepsy instead of epilepsy? :)

Also, if you've played other MGS games you should know that most if not all equipment is usually, if not always OSP (On Site Procurement).

  • Dude.....at 0:35 is that DUCK TALES music!?? Sounds like it... Man, that brought back memories from when I was a kid. Hadn't played the game in prob 15 years but I remember that clear as day. WOW!!

And nice to see Metal Gear has come so far...what an awesome storyline and series!!

  • hey. i need a help.

I found all 8 cards, and i don;t know what now...

Do you have msn ? To explain me ending of the game.

  • the series has come a long way from the atari flashback 2 review

  • The msx2 version is MUCH better. Plus there is actually stealth in it.

  • Wow, Do you think they will make a metal gear solid 4 substance for the 360?

  • No they wont because Kojima plainly said that. MGS4 was a PS3 Exsclusive.

  • Hey AVGRER!!! Metal Gear for the NES was a port from the MSX2 computer screen. The Japan version (for MXS2) was in Japanese and when it went the US market, the translation to English was a little off.

  • i cant wait to see ur MGS4 vid... dont make me wait 2 long

  • I'm working on it! :)

  • nice review. this game holds more nostalgic value than anything. i remember it was impossible as a kid, but i still got super pumped when i heard about the mgs release in '98... i think.

  • Me to, it seems to just hold a certain value.

  • great review, 5/5

  • Thanks.

  • This game was a turd. Kojima himself HATED the NES version... you didn't even fight a Metal Gear! You fought a fucking computer screen. The one for MSX is quality. Great review though.

  • Kojima was asked by someone from the nes sequel to make a real sequel, he did.

  • ? I'm not talking about the sequel Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, I'm talking about Metal Gear for MSX, it was amazing. Still is amazing. You can play it on MGS3:Subsistence for PS2, you can play both sequels. He hated BOTH NES games, because he had nothing to do with them. They ported it without asking him, etc. Look up Metal Gear Saga Part 1 on youtube if you don't believe me.

  • @BitterPoetMadman

    No, he didn't

He only said the Famicom/NES version of the original Metal Gear is garbage.

Hideo has gone on Record stating he liked Snake's Revenge and it was true to Metal Gear.

He even used elements from it in MGS3 Snake Eater.

  • Great review! 5 stars!

  • Thanks.

  • I[m like "No way, did Andy just say DOnkey Punch?"

  • Oh yeah!

  • Hee-yaaaah!

  • great review man,, i really consider you as good if not better than AVGN, but your more of a real person than character so that gives you better liberties to say whatever you want about a game.

  • Thank you very much, I try to do the best job that I can, I'm very happy you appreciate my work.

  • I played the Nintendo Gameboy version. Was that the same storyline? The first I owned and finished was Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation, at the age of 8, I must confess.

  • It's not the same story line, it was loosely based on the PlayStation version.

  • nice review i love this game i subed ok

  • @beefyotaku

    Nope, it's a side story.

It basically acts like Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake didn't happen.

Which is not part of the official story.

  • metal gear owns man. great video!

  • The password is fucking long xD

  • Way, Way, to long

  • you ever thought about doing a vid about online adult porn games? like the jenna jammeson game

  • Awesome!!

  • Thanks.
