@mbk109 Your TV can't process the 1080p coming from your computer. I'm startin' to think I lucked out with this LG, because it worked with no problem. Check for a "driver download" if your TV is 1080p.
@AutomaticUniverse YoUR TV DOES NOT HAVE TO BE 1080p!!! You can set the resulution to anything you like. I have a 1080p TV but I have the resolution on the computer set to 720p to let the stress down on the graphics card
@AutomaticUniverse I hook my basic computer screen plug into the PC outlit on my t.v, it still does not work? i do not have an audio cord but i don't think that would effect it would it? please help me. I have a Samsung 50 inch plasma, if that helps.
i hooked my vga up and i can see a blue background but nothing on my laptop screen ie.. shortcuts or anything else shows on the tv... wondering whats wrong or what i am doing incorrectly
Shut down your computer, then turn it back on. If you don't get a picture you made need to download some DRIVER information, from the maker of your TV.
Yup, catchup on your other bills, by watching TV with your computer. Thousands of people are already doin' it. To hell with cable TV, the cost is to dam high,.. just like the rent.
@AutomaticUniverse its all good i figured it out my computer had higher resolution than my tv i just had to switch my PC resolution.

My TV came with a driver, a driver disc.
AutomaticUniverse 3 months ago
@AutomaticUniverse So I just need a driver for my tv? I dont think I have the disc anymore.. think I could download one?
schellman2 3 months ago
The maker of your TV should have a website, it's worth a look, they may have a driver that you can download.
