  • Peter criss truely has greatest voice in kiss. Raspy voice which is perfect on any rock song. Though he still aint nothing more than average drummer at his best... But he has perfect voice.

  • the 1977 version at msg is still the best

  • El cielo existe !!!!! KISS FOREVER ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • El mejor PETER con la mejor canción. KISS FOREVER

  • ace is always amazing but he didnt do his best on this one

  • gene sucks!!!

  • It seems to follow U2.

  • 2:45 for eppicness

  • They destroyed the fucking world on this tour!

  • ace is my god

  • @MrWookie007 boobs

  • im obsessed with this song

  • I think Peter Criss is the best singer in KISS. Great "raspy" rock and roll voice!

  • Paul Stanley + Gene Simmons + Ace Frehley + Peter Criss = The Hottest Band In The World

  • joachimekstrom you must not be a big kiss fan to say that. peter was not a flashy drummer but he was apart of the greatest rock and roll band of all time. and eric carr a was the best drummer they ever had talent wise. he was up there with all the greats. go ahead look up his stuff. eric singer is a bad ass! he just doesnt have that main steam name like say travis barker. and ace was a guitar god! good my ass! he was great

  • First rock song I ever heard! xD

  • I love Peters voice, really Rod Stewart like...

  • I liked Paul's awesome guitar work at the beginning. Such artful picking.

  • ace couldnt go on the ground for the solo because he was destroying cartilage in his knees n the doc told him no more lol

  • best KISS song ever!

  • Peter Criss wasn't a special drummer in my eyes, i dont think that KISS really have had those ''Great'' Drummers at all, I think Ace Frehley is a good guitarist but i really lke Tommy Thayer too!

  • @joachimekstrom umm kiss has had great drummers how bout ERIC FUCKING CARR HUH????????

  • @onceonlyaz jeez take it easy man, dont shit it your pants roflmao

  • any one know what night this was? Thanks,.....

  • @scotjay my birthday! :) July 27th

  • WHOS THE ONE IDIOT WHO VOTED THIS DOWN?!

  • @kankuj23 thx dude :)

  • @norwaydude6 yes it is

  • KISS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All

  • Great intro <3

  • soo es putos

  • Peter Criss Rocks!

  • @DonadelliFelipe ur my new friend for that comment

  • Very nice footage 74... this is a true jem the highlight of the "reunion tour" cant get any better then MSG...

  • Whats the Date of this concert??

  • @Raiduz24 my birthday July 27th 1996 ... except I was born in 77 lol

  • NICE PETER!

  • PETER ROCKS!! I LOVE YOU MAN!!!!

  • A video of a BLACK DIAMOND performance that DOESN'T show the levitating drums. Uh,yeah, thats genius. The cameramen should've been dragged out back and shot.

  • They preformed it just like they did in 1977 madison square garden conncert :O

  • 2:44 minutes wasted at the start of this video. Lets get to Peter. And, to Ace's blistering guitar solo.

  • A wide shot while the drum riser was elevating would of made this a even better video.

  • Maybe Paul Stanley is not a guitar player like Eddie Van Halen , Jimmy Page or whoever you want , but he plays it sincerely .....

And That's what counts for me

  • Peter is so good!

  • I've been a big fan since '75 and it's hard to believe I saw them almost 20 years earlier at the Garden in 1976! I also saw them last year in '09 in LA. These guys still "Kick Ass"!!

  • 4:55 Under HIS thumb?

  • @GeorgeFrehley its not always sung like the studio version , which is why its live..

  • @MATTIEBOYY88 ahh! thank you

  • Those shoes are the best Paul ever had :)

  • let me put it to all you Drummer hackers if it wasnt for Peter, Ace Gene, and Paul, the hired guns who followed and will follow in their steps would be ( a bunch of never was). With that being in print. LONG LIVE KISS

  • I WAS THERE!!! Great Show.... GW

  • @Guitarwannabee You should seen em in 1980!!! Even better;)))

  • @zuss10r .i saw them in 1979, even better.......

  • @Guitarwannabee Bastard;)) lol..Peter had left by the time i saw them:(((

  • great video...lots of detail

  • Song guy can't hold on like some other do in the grueling tour schedules. It's hard to do if your mind is somewhere else than on the tour.

  • i am one of the very very very very few that believe Eric Carr was better than Criss. Criss was too jazzy for the band, Carr knew exactly what to bring.

  • Sorry but that's not a minority, every KISS fan would say that hehe.

  • tecnically carr is but feeling and for kis peter was much better...but thats a opinon.

  • @davidgoesmoo Eric Carr was way better than Peter

  • @davidgoesmoo Eric Carr revitalized a very tired KISS ... for example 79 ... they were god aweful... 1980 in sydney.. you see a recharged KISS .. Eric Carr braught back the power... I feel they are both very tallented drummers.

  • peter and ace , the history of a kiss sound, they r the best

  • @mausca61 So true

  • @mausca61 yep i wish kiss would do one more tour in 2011 but with ace and peter

  • @mausca61 BRAVO!!!

  • ... but how about the feeling & character ... we miss Peter & Ace ... Peter and Ace were not sloppy in the beginning.

  • of course not. in the 70s all four were legends and a very hard and fit band. It was just the recent years that were not good for Peter mainly but for Ace too

  • I thought Ace was on fire for most of this tour, he's playing is absolutely brilliant of recent years. I'm going to his gig in London on thursday and i expect it to be very epic.

I agree about Criss though, it's sad but he's had his day when it comes to kiss drumming.

  • I saw them new years eve 1982 , 6 row seats and paid $10.00. WOW prices have gone up!!!

  • I always thought paul stanley sang this originally...Peter has the raw vocal quality thats perfect for this song..

  • Peter Criss is the only CATMAN, now singer has to tarnish it ,fuck singer the guy is nothing more then a tool for gene same for you thayer fuck you both neither one of you can touch PETER or ACE.

  • Totally Agree Hands Down

  • AHHHHHHHH!!! KISS at it's best!!!! best kiss video on youtube. To everyone who thinks the new version of Kiss should watch this!!! I got to see Kiss in Detriot,Cleveland,Pittsburgh and NYC on this tour in 96, still the best KISS tour ever. I saw them at Both Cobo shows this year and they are still good, but nowhere near the 96 tour.....

  • PETER GENE PAUL ACE = PURE MAGIC

  • Paul's opening guitar is super sweet, and of course Ace's guitar is all raw and NASTY!

  • one of my favorite drummers and a amazing rock singer!

  • Classics of rock as it is.

  • yea the original 4 have a better vibe even tho peter wasnt the best drummer he still did fine

  • please die

  • eric carr was good but peter was better

  • Ohh my... one of the best Black Diamonds on part of Criss I've ever seen! And Ace's solo simply blew me away... \m/

  • Peter Really does sound fantastic here. Ace did the solo better in 76 but still great. I was at this show as I was in Feb 76 if i remember.

  • magic peter

  • perhaps asshole - but again peter criss is the first and only true drummer in kiss!

  • It's so funny to see a stupid motherfucker like you. Peter Criss was a jazz drummer - YES.

But he had the best Rock voice over any member of KISS, INCLUDING Paul Stanley.

So you can go fuck yourself, if you're gonna argue with me whether Eric Singer or Eric Carr had a better voice than Peter Criss, I'll butcher you. Just shut the fuck up

  • peter griffin said it the best

"nobody wants to be peter criss......not even peter criss"

  • Dude ,chill out! You're fighting someone and threating them because they don't like Peter Criss?? Really man?

  • and i agree with them.......... fuck everyone who doesn't like eric carr or peter criss!!! ERIC SINGER IS A BITCH

  • oh my god ace rules..ace rules,oh my god !!!!

  • Ace is a God!!!!

  • Gene, I do not understand why you do not agree that Ace is the most loved by the people!

  • He knows its true, he just has trouble admitting it.

  • stfu and grow a cock

  • wow you're cool!!!! does smoke come out of it as well?....then i would be impressed......schmuck

  • what's your problem man?now you're gonna keep on sending me private msgs?!! get a life and listen to your jonas brothers byebye

  • Well, why don't you do it?, asshole!

  • " paulies got you under his thumbs!" lol i love that

  • haha yeah great...the irony huh? too bad shit doesn't work out between the original four guys, but i'm still buyin a ticket when they come to Holland KISS rules!!!

  • i think KISS was in the best times from 1990 to 2003

  • When Kiss still was fresh!

  • Man, so awesome that solo

  • peter rocks

  • no doubt about it

    great vocal

  • peter awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And who said Paul was a do-nothing guitarist? Underrated at best (even though of course Ace is the man)

I absolutely love this song, probably in my top 3 KISS songs. But I really hate the version off the first album, the intro sucks and the ending is way too crappy.....the Alive! version is THE version and this version with the cool Paul intro is GREAT!

  • buuuuut... the solo at the end fits more with the down on the knees act ... i would be disapointed if i saw them live and they did that

  • yeah I agree, I mean thats like the classic thing ya know, but they did go up over the audience at the end which was pretty cool!

  • at the Dodger stadium in '98 ace didnt go on is knees

  • ya... i saw an interview where he said he wasnt gonna cuz he shattered the cartolage in his knees

  • During the reunion tour Ace brouced his knees. That's why Ace doesn't do that anymore. It's sad but what can we do?

  • ace got on his knees on the wrong solo!!! :O

  • true but good improv from Gene and Paul!

  • ya they did blend in well

  • yeaaahh you can definitely tell they're into it here

  • i love this song thet is the best song of kiss

  • Fucking top class. Drumming's a *little* boring but you can't have it all. Brilliant stuffs! I would love to see the original lineup, never had the chance. Doubt it'll ever come again either :-(

  • Man, it was so awesome. My mom and dad took me to see the 96 show in Shreveport. Then me and my mom went to see the 2000 show in Ft. Worth. Amazing. These guys are top notch performers! I love it.

  • Peter Criss RULES! .....

  • Peter Criss

  • rock on catman

  • Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss reunited as the original lineup of KISS in the MTV Unplugged 1995. Peter Criss lefted Kiss 2000 or something and were replaced by Eric Singer. Peter camed back 2003 for the Symphony Alive and lefted again 2004. According to him he was to old for a world tour.

  • Actually, according to Gene he was too old for the world tour. Peter tried to get in touch with the band many times to "get back in" but to no avail.

  • Gene and Paul asked Ace and Peter to be in Kiss again during the Alive 35. But they didn't want another reunion

  • Where did you hear that?

  • that's great man i love peter :P

  • dis is peter criss

  • when Eric singer joined kiss?

  • Kiss rocks, ppl think they dress up like demons and stuff, but they really just dress up to reflect their personalities. i wish they kept the original lineup. Ace is a guitar god.

  • GOD BLESS PETER CRISS AND HIS VOICE!

  • I can't even imagine how boring Rock and Roll would have been without KISS. They changed music forever! Rock on!

  • I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • well they had Eric Carr when peter left but he died and i have a felling that if it isn't peter it's Eric Singer

  • this is peter criss

  • I'm not 100% shure buddy cause in 1996 peter had aleady left kiss

  • 1996 was the reunion . PEter left kiss 2002 after symphony i think. He left for the arms. And it was like 1996 Peter started inkiss again

  • ok

    thnx for the info

  • np :)

  • he left in 2001, came back in 2003, then left in early 2004

  • peter criss is awesome...he just has a bit of an attitude problem backstage...

  • is that peter anyway?

  • yeah its peter without a doubt

  • No...Of course it is.

  • the into is considered pauls solo in the concert. if any of you were true kiss fans you would know that. its been like that since 1976. gene does the blood thing, ace blows up his guitar, peter has a solo and paul does his solo during the black diamond into

  • vain07 i totally disagree, Paul's intro is awesome..boring to hear the same intro for 20years

  • i think it`s bad that criss and ace went. kiss is not the same wen eric singer is singing black diamond. i miss peter criss

  • vain07 - my reply to your comment only consists of three words...

    BOLLOCKS DID HE!

  • Favorite KISS song. Love the open and when Peter Sings.

  • tomasvcvnvcdgdhfgd n bcvzbxb

  • I bet the long-time kiss fans were shitting their pants while watching the band play this at MSG again.

  • totally agree. im so proud of these guys. there my entire life. i live for them. and im fucking PROUD!

  • I think I'm shiver and shake right now...of pride to be a Kiss fan.

  • im shaking too. this is amazing.
