What is it that makes people cluck their tongues when an artist gets paid to do something they love to do? I suppose Michelangelo was a sellout too, right?

Some really great works of creativity occur within the commercial realm. Is this art at its pinnacle? Maybe not, but art it is, and to denigrate it just because it was commissioned to promote a product is petty in the extreme.
