  • By the way, that was me when I was nine years old. I'm thirteen now and I have a youtube account of my own. I only have one video on my personal account, but There are two more videos of me by cbunch. To find these videos, first search "Nathanael's Recital" and see cbunch's two videos of me. Then search "nate izzett marimba" and click on the video of yellow after the rain. Oh, and one more thing: once you've seen them, feel free to like/dislike them and post a comment. I'd love that.

  • Bravo ....

  • Oh my lanta.

  • the piano guy is like : Oh! he stopped playing! Now's my time!!!

  • oh my!he's so good!too good for his age!

  • excellent!

  • mouais...

  • That's not a xylophone. :p

  • @ListenToTristan yeah it is

  • @Frith2010 It's a xylorimba actually. haha

  • @ListenToTristan

it is a xylo. Sounds like a marimba because of his mallets.

  • @ListenToTristan It is an xylophone, look at the tubes on the xylophone.

  • beautiful and wonderful performance

    可愛喔 XD

  • Beautiful...what a gift. Please dont ever stop playing the beautiful music. I could listen to it everyday.

  • Just wait! In 3 years, this kid will have another video up of him playing 6 mallets without the piano. He'll play it all on the marimba. It'd be awesome.

  • if he was asian he would be even better

  • ye has great talent

  • impressive...he's prolly passed about many middle school percussionists...and some frosh/soph high school players

    however...technique could use some work...

dang is he on a stand or is that xylo modified to match his height?

at this rate he'll prolly learn four mallets by 8th grade

  • @mintypaladin Hey, I'm in the 8th grade, and I'm doing yellow after the rain as my first ever 4-mallet solo, and I started in 6th grade. But I get your point, I understand that this kid is a fenominal player for his age.

  • that kids gonna b playing snare when hes like 13...

  • Wow, you can totally hear a bunch of overtones with this recording lol. It's kind of cool that the camera picked them up. This kid is good. :]

  • omg you guys, this kid is so good, dont spoil it by insulting little kids or their parents just freaking enjoy it! GOSSHH

  • man!!! you rock!!! i cant play as good as you!!! and i am a percussionist in middle school!!! this is really hipicritical, but, the only thing you need to work on is to relax when you roll. do that, and you will be PERFECT!!! =]

  • @cheyennetheguitarist

He's playing a xylophone that's made of synthetic plastic. If it was made of rosewood or better yet, if he was playing a marimba, it would sound much better

  • Great Job, I hope that we will get the chance to see you perform in person.

  • this kid is sweet :)

keep up the good job cute boy!

  • Oh he look so so cute & handsome boy !!!!!

This is so Amazing for his age, i love this performance !!! He's talent <<<333

Keep ur good job little guy :))

Anyway thanks so much for post, i love it. The sound so pure <<<333

  • He beat me in a rehearsal for Los Banditos on snare :(. And yet he can't flam. I'm not hating by the way

  • cute!!!!

  • a great effort!!

  • WOO! that's my band director's son! haha, he's such a percussion genius. he's pretty amazing, and is probably better than the whole high school percussion.

  • Aww its so good and really cute how he accidentally hit himself in the head with the mallet when he finnished lol

  • Lol good job =D

  • I love this performance! Bravo and encore! I always thought of music as a wonderful way of expression. Keep it coming young lad.

  • THIS IS SO AMAZING. GO LITTLE DUDE!!!

  • awesome!!

  • I love the sheer enjoyment in his face! This isn't work for him it's fun and that is what music should be. He played well and will be amazing in the future.

  • his sticking it messed up but good for a 9 year old

  • It sounds as if he got lost around 2:13. He's also really hesitant and his rolls are unnecissarily forced.

  • to get lost and tehen to keep cool and find back into the play is what is most difficult.. Bravo to a nine year old kid who plays such a long piece of music by heart and obviously enjoys it.

  • wow, that's good! Nice job!

  • i wish i had started playing mallets when i was nine! Fantastic job

  • I liked this :)

    Good job!!

  • brillante

  • i think the roll at the beginning screws up a lot... i think of canon as a nice "soothing" song but the roll is... not. otherwise good.

  • ..(\/)

    ..(×.×)

    .(")Ç(")

  • I love how the mallets are like the length of his torso. :] Adorable. :D

  • :D wow! nice! ^^ you need to play more songs on it! :D! wauw! your so cute ^^

  • on flute it is a dificult song although i am only 11 i think for older people it would be difficult too. but it is butiful :->

  • it is not difficult, but as this kid is 9 year old let's say that he is cute XD

  • cute!!
