Budgie Bath Time!

We just our budgie or parakeet yesterday. We have one male and one female. I am wondering how long will they get use to us before we can tame/train it? Your birds are beautiful.

I wish my budgie would take a bath for once! Does anyone have any tips for making a budgie take a bath?

@mesprit56 My budgie doesnt really take baths. I let him out whilst cleaning his cage and then Id put his bath on top of his cage whilst I cleaned the base. At first he just sat on the edge and had a drink every now and again, then he started to dip his head in and now he's started to lean forward and sort of shimmy in the water! The only time he fully went in though was when he fell in. For incouragement I put one of his toys in and that helped. Also make sure that the bath is quite wide :)

@iingriidlove03 LOL! Try spending loads of time with them, and once they trust you, hand feed them seeds, like those millets. They really like those :3 and as they're on your hand they can eat it. :D

That was so cute and nice...isn't it amazing how one budgie tends try and lead the pack on in...it's like budgies have a leader of some kind with their brood...the yellow one was so brave...but the blue ones just held back!!
