I think that season 1 was better, even for what concerns with the intro songs... the second opening of 1st season was so epic, these ones are nice but too happy, you know... but of course this is just my personal opinion!

This song is so happy that you just can't be mad when you hear it. i watched the first season and just liked it so much i had see all of it. gotta say though i liked the manga more but this had an awesome soundtrack. Orphen rocks.

To tell you the truth, I saw the second season before the first, and totally fell for it. After seeing the first, it was a total shocker. Personally, not to get up any riot, I love the second season, just beacuse it's a funner season. ^-^

There is no season 3, the Japanese economy took a downturn after this, and the second season was not nearly as highly rated as the first (for all SORTS of reasons).

Season 2 sucks. The first is the best, Orphen it's a dark and mature anime, not supposed to be funny or something like that, that's why the first season represents Orphen like originally is, a dramatic shonen.

I mean I love Orphen but just the first season, I really feel this one screwed up all the good job JC made before... Orphen doing funny things AGH no thanks :)

I agree with you there. After finishing the first season, I was hoping for the second to finally spill a blossoming relationship between Cleo and Orphen. There was none. It dissapointed me.

The first season was better. Lots of fillers, sure, but the story was deep and most chaaracters were 3d.

yeah, I liked more this season. It was kind of like slayers try: very good in the beginning but flat in the end.

Still, the strongest spell, hikari no hakujin, is here very poorly animated with a out-of-topic patchwork painting in the background. Those from the 1st season were much cooler. Still, the bgm is in average as good as the previous season.
