I don't get open air drug markets. I live in AZ-we have plenty of drugs here and there are plenty of people buying & selling them, but they don't do it out in the open like this, not even in the ghetto. You go into a house, or a car and you do the deal there. At most, you do a simple hand to hand, none of this running around shit.

I just don't understand what the difference is. Someone explain it to me. Because if you did this out here, you'd get busted right away.

Since it's also public, your name is not tied to any particular property which can be seized by the state in the event of a bust. Open air markets operate under the assumption that no matter how long they operate, there will be a bust and they have a contingency for that. Secrecy is irrelevant when you have redundancy.

Yeah that makes sense. I guess maybe you seem them more on the east coast because there is more density, and so there's a much higher volume of customers.

And it is also a good defense against cops and jackers.

But the police response has to have something to do with it because like I said, if you tried to do this in most places, you'd get arrested right away. I guess when the cops already have so many other things to worry about this happens.
