I've been jump roping for about 10 months now and I have been through several ropes ( they either break or are unable to do tricks due to drag or other design reasons which just do not allow the rope to function at high speed )
I just bought this rope and I am waiting for it to be delivered and I hope it lives up to it's hype if not, oh well, it was only $39.99. I spend probably $70 in jump ropes just to find most suck anyways.
You can use an imaginary rope and jump on the spot, does the same thing in terms of conditioning and calories burnt. The rope is good for timing and cooordination though.
@peerless77 Not at all, the longer you jump rope, the more tired you become and realize you still have to lift your feet off the ground to get over the rope. If you are just "pretending" you tend to cheat yourself. It also works your arms and hands out because they also get tired from spinning the rope around. "pretending" to jump isn't the same....LOL not even close.
buddy lee is by far the best jump roper ever, that shit is impressive, take a regular dude to do what he does and he'll flop in about the 3rd rotation
1/2 of this video is all crap just to sell you the rope. I've been training with a $5 Everlast Jumprope for the last 2 years, and I have achieved the same results as this so called "the perfect jump rope" come on!! people are stupid but not that stupid Buddy Lee... you are cool, but we aint buying your crap.
@d1drifter87 Dude, stop being a dick! If this jump rock does not fit your needs, just don't buy it, but don't be negative about it! It's like calling the people that buy high performance cars idiots if they can simply buy a piece of shit vehicle that will do the same job!
@d1drifter87 your gay and full of crap about "achieving the same results" post a video and prove it!!!! thumbs up if d1drifter87 just got served everybody
Excellent intro into basic jump-roping. Your instructions were very clear and understandable. Your techniques are easy to follow and overall very, very helpful. I appreciate your expertise and your tutorial. I look forward to seeing more from you on this subject. Thank you
@Vpopov81 They are to me, but I see how this is the rope for tricks and stuff. I don't do trick, I only jump basic and ali shuffle. I even like the cheaper $7.00 Lifeline better than this when it comes to a no-nonsense vinyl rope that actually doesn't tangle. Boa rope is also choice.
@LongDongSilver78 The reason you like those cheap ropes is because you don't do tricks and because you CAN'T. Stop being a hater. Buddy Lee jump ropes with their swivel bearing technology are very excellent jump ropes for whatever kind of jump roping you do. I respect your opinion which it is not one, rather a jealous hater statement. That's all there is to it.
@sal70228 ...k? who cares anyway? lol, u ain't bustin it, i am. gee..better ?, are u stupid enough to pay $35-40 for these. when u really get a same quality or better rope for less regardless of tricks, which don't impress me for a sec. these ropes are high maintenance, shouldn't need replacent parts. not that bad of a rope tho since it could be worse, now that u mention it i guess..
@denmark9995 yeah, what if one of Buddy Lee's other gigs was actually pushing dildos now that u mention it, LMFAO!! can u imagine the vid to that demo... "Hi, I'm Buddy Lee and u may know me as a Jumprope King and a Dildo Ace!" or some shit like that..haha! He should hire Catalina Taylor for his model..mmmm!
I have one and you will never go back to another jump rope; BUT the cords break in a couple weeks and the bearings wear out in a couple months. Do your self a huge favor, order at least three cords and a set of bearings, because they don't last long at all.Yes even on a wood or padded surface.
40 dollars? Umm no thanks

idk man, those comparisons werent that crazy... 10 mins of hardcore jumproping is WAY harder than 30 mins of jogging anyways.

This rop ain't all that, but i still use it in my rotation of ropes. The best ropes are the super ropes, boa, and lifeline. PERIOD!

Great rope, but the cord is too short. Its say in the description its long enough for 6-7 or under.
at 5-9 its even too short for me and I'm good. They really need to lengthen the cord to 11 ft. from 9. that way maybe a 6-5 foot person can use it.
