definitely simon gallup, cuz lol didn't play the drums while phil was in the band. lol pretend played the keyboards while the real guy playing the keys was the mighty porl thompson. a shame since lawrence was a good drummer for the cure
@bassnicola I've seen it twice. Looks like it's Simon!! Hard to catch at first. How different is his wardrobe, hair, standing and moving (almost non-moving) on stage compared with several other videos!! Only for the picking close ups you can identify his hands and particular style! Love these two songs!! Come to Mexico again, Robert!!!
As a railfan I like this song, and Another Journey by Train! Really the entire Boys Don't Cry album is great! I think Robert Smith is older than I am (or almost)!
I saw them in concert for the first time in 1984, and they were fantastic .. Smith and Tolhurst were a perfect match! .. The cure are very good, and so now there were groups
yesterday i went to batersea cat and dog's home wich is situated beind the power station and this song came in to my mind.. couldn't stop singing it all day...
Posted on Aug. 25th 2010 Lol Tolhurst was on KXLU radio, And said he would like to rejoin The Cure. He said he would like to join in the 'Faith Tour' 30th anniversary. It sounds like he has already been speaking with Robert. And stated that 'the ball was in Roberts court'. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Back when this was recorded The Cure also performed "Another Journey By Train" and "10:15 Satuday Night". Do you by chance have these also? ....Nevermind. You have "Another Journey by train" lol, it just came on. Wow, thank you.
apperantly Lol came off the drums because of the bands development musically but after listening to this & Hanging Garden he's a good drummer, think its a real shame the decline of Mr Tolhurst.
I actually believe there are 2 versions of that song, the one that's playing now: the original one with one guitar and the one with the 2nd guitar added, the bassline's different too in some parts.
Robert Smith definitely likes trains
