  • hey evil,i got 1 question. I drink various of herbs (mountain tea, sage, green tea etc) do those help me hydrate? :)

  • @Cannibalizer93 For sure. And you have sickingly healthy drinking habits! ;P

  • great information thanks I've learned something diff... I will drink more water know :D

  • @Hellokittygirl68 Cool! :)

  • I drink enough so my piss can be clear that's how I judge.

  • simple. 2L

  • wedg-tables?

  • I like this video, thank you man.... Only thing i thought about, what if you workout 2-3 hours a day, and sweat 2-4 liters of water,! I think thats why it´s stated than we should drink so mutch water... ??

  • @KewinDiemar Yeah, exactly. When you sweat a lot, you of course need to drink more, which is another reason why that 8 glasses per day is wrong so often: For some people it's way too much, for others it may be way too little.

  • I dont know when i doo drink a certain amount a day, i feel alot better, and my doctor told me that i needed to do this, so i followed what he said and after drinking more water allowed me to loose weight

  • @tommyboyfierce If that worked for you and you are healthy, that is great!

  • @Evilcyber yeah i guess so =D ive been not drinking water lately and ive been feeling sick but my doctor like i said is telling me to drink plenty of fluids so now im drinking water having soup instead cuz it makes me feel better =D

  • get to the choppa

  • your german right?

  • @luckyduckfuck Can't deny it :)

  • answer to the title : 10 glasses...now click on the lil cross.

  • Hhhmmm...it's interesting. Nobody has ever really questioned the fact that we should drink X amount per day. But it does make sense that kidneys may work harder the more we drink. I just assumed more liquid would make it easier for the kidneys, because it "flushes" things through easier. Interesting theories in this video. Is the body damaged by too much water (ie more than 2 litres per day) ?

  • After this video: *Goes to get a drink of water*

  • Nice vid, I never thought about it that much but I guess it makes sence. I learn something new every day :D

  • @TheUnknownModer Don't we all? Thanks for the compliment! :)

  • God and informative!

  • @fliesenfuzzi Thanks fuzzi! :)

  • wetchdables! Good video haha.

  • @Conscript69 And I thought I got it just perfect! :D Thanks man! :)

  • GOD i love how he says THIRSTY :):) these tips are really helpful

  • So true. Many people drink a gallon of water daily because of the sports supplements they take but even then it's still nuts. On a side note, the weather and your activity level play huge roles in determining how much water should be consumed

  • How much to drink: drink when you are thirsty.

  • wegtables?? 2:46 lol

  • @thezzzzzxxxxxify Wegtables are a special type of vegetable developed by Evilcyber. He is currently in the process of getting them out to stores worldwide.

  • I dont like peeing every 15 minutes.. :( But ill drink up.

  • As always, Great Informative video! I look forward to your next one.

  • Having to pee every 45 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. Thats like going almost 20 times a day to the bathroom. Flushing out toxins??? How about not putting your body under stress. Obviously more water is better then less. But many people just do excessive drinking to the point of water intoxination without being aware of it.

I guess its a psychological obsessive compulsive thing. Like protein. ''Awhmagad, I haven't had protein in hours, I will lose muscle!''.

Same with the 6 meals a day crap

  • Great video, now what the fuck we would do without water :X.

I down shit tons of water on a daily basis

  • I bring 4 bottles of water to school have to pee every 45 minutes lol

  • i almost drink nothing but water i very rarley now drink soda because the hoter it gets the more im outside like im an athlete but its just cus i bmx and to be honest i dident watch the video lol i just wanted to share my coment

  • For those of you interested in research about this topic, I now put a link to the scientific paper I used as resource into the description. It's the best writeup about the whole thing I found out there and you can read it in full for free.

  • your looking leaner!

  • Wow, imagine the research that went into this. I've always bought into the whole force yourself to drink water when you aren't thirsty myth, this was a great video clearifying that all.

  • @JimboJ1981 Me too, Jimbo, I bought the whole thing as well. Until I thought that feeling this bloated can't be right.

  • Thanks,Evil.Good thing I didn't get into the fad of drinking silly amounts of water like half the forum does...

Never even hit me to do some research either, guess I can rely on you then!

    Dioniss

  • @TooCooLFoRYou123 Yeah, some things are repeated so often, you think they simply have to be right. And I can't say I never fall for that either :D

  • Thumbs up! .. NOT ME ! THE VID!

  • @xenonnati Man, Xen, what would I do without you!! :)

  • @xenonnati

No hold ctrl and thumps up my comment! ; )

  • i love the wegtebles :)) ( vegetables)

  • @xenonnati Now even Romanians make fun of my German accent! Argh! :D

  • Thanks, I always felt that 8 glasses of water was to much for me. I agree that the body tells you when its thirsty.

  • @margiliketarget Glad you found the video helpful!

  • i'm missing one piece of information though. i had obviously fallen for "drink a lot!" stuff and have been drinking let's say 3,5l of liquids (water, milk, tea, soup counted in, vegetables and fruits excluded) a day. now let's say i start following 8x8 principle which is around 2l of liquids in total. wouldn't i feel thirsty? or differently - is my body used to higher liquid intake so this thirst mechanism would be triggered even if i drank those 2l?

  • @osiris850531 In my opinion, your body wouldn't get used to you drinking more than you need.

  • @osiris850531

    Probably only psychologicaly

  • Where do you find all of your research sources?

  • @titans091052

    google!

  • @titans091052 One great resource is sciencedaily(.).com, because you get a lot of news about recent research in one place. I also have access to some scientific journals and the rest is Google Scholar ;)

  • @Evilcyber

If you need a paper you would otherwise have to pay for, contact me. I got, for example, access to jstor via my university account

  • @Evilcyber I hate using google scholar. It always takes me forever to find what I want. I'm lucky though because I'm in college so I have free access to more journals, and research than I know what to do with :)

  • Another point against drinking a lot of water only is possible hyponatremia (low sodium) caused by sweating out electrolytes and then drinking plain water which dilutes the remaining levels of electrolytes left in your body.

  • @BigBobster86 There's an easy cure for that - add some extra salt to your food, or just eat it plain.

  • @BigBobster86 Great point! Yes, exactly, all that water can cause havoc among your electrolytes.

  • @Evilcyber Hence the benefits of products like Gatorade. When I play heavy anaerobic sports like ice hockey, one gulp of water gives me cramps... not so with Gatorade.

  • Thanks Evil :)

Now I don't feel bad about not gulping down liters/day when my body tells me it's had more than enough.

  • @SaugaTricks Glad you find this helpful, Sauga! :)

  • very informative, as always, especially the part about the colour of urine. I never realised drinking too much water could put a strain on your kidneys :O

  • Hey Evil, dose the 8x8 work as well with beer? :P

  • @ADTT71 LMAO :D

  • did anyone else get thirsty watching this?

  • @TheMightyHogDog Yes..... Yes, I did.

  • @TheMightyHogDog Now that you mention it... I had a cup of coffee while editing ;)

  • @Evilcyber you drink coffee cause you're thirsty ? :P

  • @xenonnati Well, I drink it before I get thirsty. You know, thirst is too late! ;P

  • no description available?

  • @steveteaches I always wait until the upload has finished, because it happened to me that the upload failed when I saved the description before the upload finished. Argh! :)
