  • I am the Father of TWO beautiful daughters, and the Grandfather of TWO more, now ages 46,44,12, & 5..... I've listened/played this song many times... always brings tears to my eyes. It is beautiful and heart warming. Blessed I am to still be alive.... and thanks for youtube, I can put my albums/records/tapes to rest............Mr Bill

  • My dad used to play this song for me when I was growing up, all the way from I was a little girl all the way up till he got sick. He was taken by the angels in January and even now at 20 years old I'm listening to this song and it makes me cry and miss him more. Thank you for posting it.

  • My daughter couldn't decide what song to play at her wedding for the Father/Daughter dance. So she asked me to pick. This was my one and only choice. It took me all 3 sec to decide. Thanks Jimmy from the bottom of my heart for that wonderful few moments with my daughter. May you rest in peace.

  • I've been searching for that song for over 1 month now, I couldn't remember the title and the name of the person that sang it. Just a beautiful song. I remember taping it from the radio for my daughter a long time ago. Thanks for posting it. Almost a miracle that I found it.

    P.S. Could you tell me who is the other singner that use to sing it beside Jimmy Dean. When I had tape it, I recall a different voice.

  • I was just 8 years old, when Daddy found this song on a jukebox, at Murphy's dinner counter. He played me this song. It was the only time, he ever played it. From then on, all he ever had to do, to let me know, he loved me. He'd call me Sleeping Beauty.

    We grew apart, and didn't speak, for a number of years. Too many years, cause I never got the chance to say,

    Sleeping Beauty, still loves you, King Daddy!

    Don't take a day for granted.

  • @Rosiesideology I always try to say how I feel because you never know if you are ever going to get that chance to tell that person. It might sound corny, and they might act funny, but you will never regret it. you will if you dont say anything. I'm sorry for you loss. I lost my grandma three years ago. RIP grandma I love you and miss you lots.

    I miss my dad too..my mom found this song for me..it still makes me cry,I miss him that much..I can get threw it with out the tears just flowing..I cant wait to see him again its been too long

  • When my sister and I turned sixteen our dad bought us this record by Jimmy Dean. I knew when I heard it that under that tough side that dad's portray there is a softness. I had tears in my eyes at 16 and today when I listen to it I still have tears in my eyes. My dad has been gone now for about 16 years, this song will always be dear to my heart. RIP Jimmy Dean
