  • ive seen thousands of these on youtube and all of those indian copys suck, too loud, vibrating too much but this one is the only one i can call nice!!

  • 8 hrs per gallon , ill get one for me jeep !!

  • I really like the sound the engine makes when you can't hear the exhaust!

  • There was a time when England could make industry product.

  • wow! thats pretty quite! whats its idle rpm?

  • 370RPM

  • @edutchie dude this is awesome!!!!!! don't the big wartsillas idle at like 22?

  • Let the zombies come! I'll be drinking COLD BEER for months lol. Off the grid awesomeness.

  • I'd like to see what type of generator/alternator you are driving, and how it is mounted. I see you have 4 belts running.

  • It's running a heavy-durty picku alternator with a variable rheostat in place of the regulator. We just watch the voltage and adjust as needed.

Also have a 5 horse air compressor we run twice a week or so.

  • Do you know what the specific fuel consumption of pounds (fraction)of fuel per HP per hour is?

  • about 8 hrs per gallon at 370 RPM. Charging around 30 amps @ 12v DC

  • Sounds like an old piston well pump!

  • runs like clockwork better lights next time!

  • Nice video here, too bad there are no lights to see the engine

  • Does the guy go through these engines when he gets them? I've read up about them and sometimes they can have leftover casting sand in the sump and lifter problems (some Metros have problems with lifters which won't rotate)

  • No, these are raw from India. If you are not a Do It Yourself kind of person you won't be happy with one of these engines anyway. However you won't find a better toy for DIY who like to work on engines.

  • These are available from a guy in PA for $1250.00

Call 7174422951 and ask for Steve

  • colemans military surplus has a 6.5 HP

(weighs 173 pounds) for 595 dollars now.

  • 173 pounds sounds like an air cooled lister petter. completely different engine. these engines are around 700 pounds.

  • Where did you buy your engine? Seems to be pretty tough to find an honest importer of these things.

  • I and a friend bought our Metros from Sam Crosby in Maine. He is good to deal with. You can find pretty much any answer you can ask on the Lister Engines forum.

  • Thanks for putting this up. The next best thing to being there.
