  • where the hell is here a bumping action?!

  • Perfect. Amazing and cool dance steps, easy to learn too. Impressive dance models. Thumbs up.

  • wone, ah-two, ah, four....this is all what l have learned! jeezzzz...it is really for advanced dancers....

  • This is my favorite couple. Allan and Serena are so fluid together. They make it look easy and, most important, fun. Ballroom dancing should NEVER be a chore.

  • What's the name of the song?

  • Really nice, everything goes smooth and perfect, I adore this couple and their style

  • I want her legs...

  • You are my favorite dance couple, you are wonderful! I'm your big fan! What is your names ?

  • this looks more like slow lindy

  • very very good exellent

  • faggy moves

  • Does anyone know the singer/group playing the backing for this brilliant demo? Can I get a CD of it?

  • 1, 2, 3 a 4

    That's very irritating

and I don't know but that woman isn't gorgeous!

  • why the only thing I could do watching this video was to stare at her legs? ;oD

  • Anybody knows the name of this songie?

  • @MsAnia99 It's called FINE BROWN FRAME, this version is by Lou Rawls and Dianne Reeves.

  • @MsAnia99 Tnx a lot feverwitch

  • This is jive in its basic form. It looks like east coast swing because the 4/4 steps/beat are similar to the east coast swing. Jive is a variation of swing. Allan Tornsberg and Serena Lecca, two world class ballroom dancers that competed in the Latin ballroom style, one of the best when they were competing. He's Danish, she's Italian. She is particular known for her beautiful dance lines/form, beautiful foot placement.

  • not a lesson AT ALL, just someone doing the counts on a routine.

  • i agree with the guy bevore me

    thats no lesson -.-

    you can´t lern anything

    1,2,3...3 a 4 ....?

    stupid....

  • what is the name of this song?!^?!?!?!?!?!?

  • nice choreo!

  • my favorite stile! ^^

  • I agree with some of the comments, this looks really like an (East Coast) Triple Swing than a Jive. This is a nice exhibition of figures but it would be more effective as a lesson if it was demonstrated slower, with each figure identified and broken into its separate components. Thank you for the choreography.

    L

  • @lancelot1953 I agree.. To me it seemed more like swing than jive.. ! But nice choreography though

  • This song is more of a East Coast Swing song rather than a Jive song. Not a very good lesson either as its just showing the couple dance and not explaining the technique or how to do the moves. Nice video otherwise.

  • the whole way you do all the moves and even the way you hold yourself is not jive

  • is it possible to download this video..? If so, can anyone tell me how. Thnx

  • @elbivan1 install realplayer SP Then you will see 'download this video' in the right top corner of any video on YT

  • @campi1982 ..Thanks a lot for the info...you are lifesaver ;-)

  • I can't take eyes from her. Serena have such elegance. She dominate in this video.

  • The Beautiful Lady Dancer is abosolutely lovely and wonderful...

I would like to know her's name.

Thanks for posting and sharing so nice art video-dance creation.

    Best regards,

    Javier

  • @JavierVMaldonado

    It's Serena Lecca

  • Doesnt look like a lesson...

  • The knees can be more lifted up!

I looks like you haven't got any energy, make it to look like a show!

  • thats swing jive... the knees are not lifted there as much as in rock jive.

  • one two three four ... one two three four... it stuck in my mind!!!

  • Wow

    I learned count to FOUR . . .

Good style dancing, though. Nice pair.

And I like the song! :)

  • I agree a lot with you....

  • @cbdances4god

They are going slow for a jive

  • @cbdances4god This example lesson prob is too advanced for you to pick up their techniques. Only higher level dancers understand what points they are to see, esp from Allen Tornsberg, who focuses on adept technique within simple steps.

  • @doidinha50: Yes. I agree with you. Even though this is basic jive, the dancing technique is advance. After all they are world class ballroom dancers. They don't compete now. They do teach.

  • superb

  • I love it so much! I wish I could do like this. BTW what title of the music?

  • "Fine Brown Frame" by Lou Rawls

  • looks so effortless!

  • this is just superb

  • This is for very very advanced dancers. Hell I d like to dance like this

  • @Zakbarbar

it's not for very very advanced dancers, more for beginner dancers. honest.

  • @XxFashionDivazxX If you can reproduce any of this, you will be world class.

  • Its a long time since ive done this dance, I need to find me a dance partner and start it again, I love it!

  • they dance great but if you don't know the steps you look at this like a dobe

  • Love Jave & love these legs

    : )

  • Fabulous and talented couple with a great choice of music. Must take a lot of work to dance like that.

  • dance with me

    bluedragon192 :)

  • with you? :D Where are U from XD

  • I really want to dance like her.. but my dance partner is too fat and lazy :( MY father was a professional Latin dancer 20 years ago.. I wish i would be at this time.. =(

  • wow, this woman is so gorgeous and graceful - I want her body!

  • wow ik wil het zo graag lere

  • ql ql, but what kind of lesson is this? 10x slower please. And maybe basic steps? :)

  • Songs called Fine Brown Frame, by Lou Rawls.

The type of jive is called Ceroc, which incorporates a lot of West Coast Swing as Slam5 suggested. Its an eight beat (although the count is only to four in the video) dance, just like your typical jive so it can be danced to most songs. Where it differs, is the man's step back leg is his right instead of the normal left rock step and the triple step is hardly used, replaced with a single step per beat. In my opinion its much easier to learn.

  • cool

  • thx, i learned something ;)

way, i like their dance, u seen their rumba video?

    this is nice ;)

  • just miss the bounce... thats bad^^

the jive feeling is not properly done...

  • true

  • what is this song??????

    so good

  • it's a frigging lesson! of course it's slower. it's like telling a person to learn to dance by watching competitions. you need to slow down so that people can pick up steps.

  • Yeah... cool though, gonna add a few of these steps in my swing

  • look like a chacha lol

  • really good job thought but it looks like it crossed between a wcs and a jive.

next time do a faster version with groovier music

  • I guess this danceing clip is not look like a jive to me. It's more like cha cha cha but dancing in jive rythms. At the beginning, Chicken walk is a jive. but Others looks like a cha cha cha: let's say they mix the two tyoe up togather. But it's a great work!

  • IMO, it is a cross between a west coast swing and jive. a lot of dancing in a slot which is the characteristic of WCS.

  • can anyone tell me what type of jive this is considered to be?

i really want to take lessons on this specific type but i can't find the right way to explain it when i call dance schools..

    thanks!!!!!!!!

  • too slow jive as for me

  • great execution! I am a choreographer too... thanks for the video

  • Comment removed

  • Seconded. I've been instructing for years and this is much more like a swing with just a tad of a realllyyyy.....slow jive.

  • nice video!

  • i ja želim tako plesati.....

  • Geez. Tough room.

I liked it. Most dances have a lot of latitude to allow difference styles. People that are accomplished in several dances like to bring steps across. I see West Coast Swing moves in Hustle and Country Two-Step for example. It's all good if you want to have fun. If you want to compete and please judges with sticks up their butts you shouldn't be looking for lessons on YouTube.

  • I appluad you for not being a tight-ass like most posters here.

Personally, I like this dance. It is slower than most but who said that has to be a bad thing? It looks less frantic and casual dancers can actually learn some steps from this vid.

  • i agree... or if it's jive, it's very flat ;/ and it looks very bad ;/

  • This ain't jive!

  • it has a little bit of cha cha

  • excuse me is that supposed to teach you jive??? 123a4 123a4 123a4 i exêcted a little bit more than that :(

  • where can i get a skirt like that?!

  • it's amazing!! Realy! X

  • kinda looks like west coast swing

  • its allen tornsberg... if he says its a jive, its a jive...

  • yee it`s really cooool ;)

  • and this is jive? :S

    nooot but it's cool :D

  • i think it doesnt look jive..ankilyca im with you!!!!

  • yea... real ballroom jive step shouln't look like cha-cha-cha xD

  • Jive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is not jive it is West Coast Swing

  • This should be more properly called 'Modern Jive', Ceroc, Leroc or French Jive. Unlike Ballroom Jive, which IS a quick dance, Modern Jive can be danced to a wide range of music from Big Band, through Pop and Dance to Tango and Cha-Cha. Also unlike Ballroom Jive, it incorporates many hundreds of moves, many with a strong Latin influence.

Because it's slower, it can be danced all night without the couples collapsing in total exhaustion. That's why it's so popular. Go, and find out for yourself.

  • yeah, this is jive, just because its a bit slower, doesnt mean it;s not the dance. go to dancing school before shooting ur mouth off.

  • It's slow jive!

  • its not jive its boogie

  • i can't dance and i barley no anything bout dancing but i thought jive is a quick dance and this seems slow compared to most jives i've seen. Please can someone explain to me why?

  • It is slow, but it's a good tempo to use when learning the dance.

  • just wondering. is slow jive the same/similar to as west coast swing?

  • wot more "modern" songs are there to jive to??? lyk i hav this school dance and v sure as hell dont wanna dance to the classics...

  • That is the one and only Lou Rawls...

  • does anybody know the title of the song? please...?

  • it's fine brown frame

  • Goodie, but what artist???

  • The Denise Lawrence Band i believe

  • omg, you look like ... don't know like in a disney movie, just wow...

  • what´s the name of this song???

  • looks good, not practical though. Jive is much quicker and you don't have time for all that swing motion in the bottom part of your body. you can combine the hard rocking with with the swing but you'll never be able to get this swing motion in a normal rhythm.

  • I like Slavik & Karina too. They demostrated very clear triple steps with the counting of backward/replaced/123/456 which is very important in Jive learning. They also showed us a kind of swing action.

  • yeah theres was a more ... realistic jive

  • serena lecca & allan tornsberg

taken from an instructional series of video tapes.

personally though i like the slavik & karina version better. but thats my own oppionion

  • Fantastic...

  • who knows who they are but they have plenty talent!

  • I love it!Do you know the title of this song?

  • Can someone tell me who the dancers are????

  • The male is Allan Tornsberg, a top professional dancer from Denmark. The girl' name I can't remember

  • The girl name is Serena Lecca.

  • I love this dance!!! You are great.

  • These two are great. They even make this slow boring jive look exciting

  • I love you guy I nearly want to cry out when you guy move to that awesome music so right path

That is so great jive dancing with LOVE
