Jane sucked as Punisher. He looked scared fighting the big russian. When is Frank Castle scared of anyone? He's a psychopath. And swinging on a chain to kick him? Pleeeeease. Ray Stevenson would have owned that prick in 30 seconds. Gouged out an eye.. but the butterfly knife in his thorax, bitten off a finger and crushed his skull with a brick.

if he was able to get stabbed and not even feel it, i doubt boiling water would have such an enormous effect on him compared to the knife. both should have been extremely painful. i like this scene though, i find it humorous.
Don't worry, that was just in the comic. As far as I know, it wasn't hinted in the movie at all. They also didn't explain in the movie that the Russian possesses extraordinary physical powers - you just realize that fact during the fight, because no normal person would shrug a knife stab off like he did. Not even Frank Castle does.
@scarface115 Sorry, but a stab wound inflicts mostly internal damage in a localised area, with few nerve endings destroyed. Burning damages millions upon millions of nerve endings and is like being stabbed with 100 knives at the same time, repeatedly.. and you can feel it for years.

Damn, all though that entire scene, he just beating the shit out of Frank Castle. Its so painful and so destructive its hilarious. Infact the music adds a light hearted touch to it.
