I wonce had a 1982 300TD, the car got great millage about 52MPG I never wonce did any thing except change the filters and the oil. Then I lost my job one day and decided to go traveling so me a my 300TD went from Miami Florida all the way threw MExico, Central America, South America till I got to Brazil then i drove up to Venezula, then i took it onto a boat to Trinidad and tobago, on a boat to US VI where i live now. and lost my car in a horrible car accident

I restarted the engine after 26 years to restore the car.

Before starting the engine I replaced oil and filter and checked the engine is not locked!!

Before writing that I kill an old Mercedes please turn your stupid mind if you've got it!

@350stoccarda Uhm... You got something wrong man. "You can't kill an old mercedes diesel" means that those engines are very tough and will start after many years. Before writing that I've got a "stupid mind" you should take some english lessons ;)

@MrLowAltitude Its a diesel it has to be built strong in the first place regardless if its a Chevy, International, Dodge, or a Mercedes.

That's why its not uncommon to find old farm equipment or heavy equipment with a diesel that's been put out in a field to die not because they stopped running but they the engine out lived what its in and its more cost effective to buy new equipment than fix old in some cases.

But most other things would have no body left unlike this Benz.

Bella macchina! Noi abbiamo la stessa, il colore dovrebbe essere quel blu..solo che gli idioti che l'avevano prima hanno fatto un brutto lavoro...stucco sopra la ruggine ecc...quando sarà pronta facciamo un giro giù in italia ;)
