Only thing I like about the new one is that I like the double casette holder on soundwaves. But I hate how his tray pops out but really great g1.

i got this SDCC SW earlier for on 3000pesos or $62.00 here in the philipppines! its better than the Commemorative versio bec it has a flat chest compared to Commem w/c has bulky chest, agree???

Yep, defo. Like slightly bigger boom-box style. Maybe it could also play actual cassettes? That would be sweet. Read here that the initial japanese non-transformer issue could play cassettes. Can anyone confirm this? Or maybe someone has made a fan-mod? ;)

Originally the soundwave toy (japanese pre-tf version) was a functional casetteplayer but hasbro cut all the electronics out.

If you ebay Mini cassete case, someone is selling them for $5 a piece..

I know they are the same size as REAL mini cassette cases though.. So maybe you can go cheaper even.

Oh, and those cassettes are the same size as real-life mini cassettes, so you can definitely use those cases to hold the bots. I don't know if you can buy them separately, though. You may have to buy the tapes with them, but they don't cost that much.
