  • there's really no difference between a normal room and a save room. I'll explain Save Points in the SMILE instructional series videos. I've been meaning to get around to those. I'll do one today.

    so, do you just select the number you want in the bts dropdown and then click the dropdown itsself and drag it?

  • ASsemBly, It's the code used by old console games like the snes. He's asking if you are going to program new aspects, or reprogram old aspects, of Super Metroid in it's near-raw code.

    Nah, none of that. Even if i could, I don't want to.

  • Being able to wall-jump on certain surfaces is one possibility, but asm is usually used for sprites, e.g. custom enemies, and bosses.

    Which would be really awesome, but also really difficult.

  • Yea, I'm already backed up on Level design alone. I'm doing this project solo... If I had some useful help, I'd get someone to do some sprite editing or "asm" hacking, but I don't know of anyone who has the skill, knowledge, or time to help me with these things... And I hardly have time myself. I'm pressed to to history research ever as I type this right now...

    Ugh.

  • eh, you do need to know your standard wall-jump, mid-air morph, and machball, but I changed the timing on the bomb jumps; I think it's much easier now.
