  • When I was little, I used to watch Tricky Brain on replay :)

  • Thanks for the guide and dissecting his humor. I used to watch his 90's films and old TVB series of him dubbed in Vietnamese. Though sometimes it did translate well but most times I wished I could have understood Cantonese. Word play does get in lost in translation but I think his slapstick humor compensates the language barrier. Do you know why Richard Ng (sp?) stopped making movies with him?

  • * that is...in the mid-90's or so ^^ I was excited when I saw him in Shaolin Soccer.

  • can anyone please give me links to english version of stephen chow's movies ?

    thank you .

  • he my biggest fan

i love him since i'm like 3 now im 17

  • me to lol i have all of his videos

  • What about Dragon Fight.

  • perfect pronounciation of cantonese

you are probably a hongkonger as well :D

  • Interesting vid dude :)

You actually look like Stephen Chow a little bit! lol

  • Thanks..did not know about "Out of Dark". I will check it out. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

  • i'm a huge fan of stephen chow. so i'm really thankful to you coz i've been able to find old movies of stephen. i wish i could have a dvd collection of stephen chow movies

  • thanks a lot actuallly! i was just wondering about this! :D

  • Hey...thanks for this video. You did an awesome job!

I (like most people, I suppose) LOVED Kung Fu Hustle, and that movie caused me to begin checking out ALL Stephen Chow's movies. I have seen 'Shaolin Soccer' and thought it was funny as hell.

I live in a small town, and have to get Netflix to order to see Stephen Chow's films (I am 3 hours N.E. of Phoenix).

Thanks again for posting this! I Can't wait until Kung Fu Hustle 2 comes out!!! (Which I will have to drive to Phoenix to see)!!

  • Hey dude! :)

Me too! Ive been his biggest fan since a kid as well. Do u remember the name of a movie where he's being a teacher(?) in this school but due to (an accident?) he ended up having operation on his body (kind of like 'The animal') where he gains super-powers?? I remember he also had a crush on one of da female teachers.

But yeah... do u remember the title of that movie (stephen Chow was definitely da main char).

  • That would be the Six Million Dollar Man.

  • 60 million dollar man

  • muchas gracias

  • Dude.... thanks! I'm really digging deep into Chow Sing Chi's back catalogue but, as an English speaker, movies like Flirting Scholar and Royal Tramp (to name a few) are a little beyond me. I know there's something funny happening, but I'm missing it. Frustrating. Thanks for explaining the 'Man Sai' joke as well... now if you could only explain every Stephen Chow joke ever that would be great! Kidding!

  • Dont forget fist of fury! Hell, i speak little chinese anything but Chow is good, i recomend all his movies.

  • Fist of Fury 1, 2, or both?

I personally found the second was funnier because it had Siu Fong Fong. =)

  • i cant find the second one at all (pun intended lol) i would ask you to share but i dont speak cantonese so i wouldnt be able to understand it, if you got it with subtitles though sharing is caring! I like forbiden city cop though, and alls well that ends well, and lawyer lawyer, and king of comedy to name some, but yeah if you got fist of fury 2 with subtitles i would appreciate it!

  • chow if good

  • hey man i am also one of his hugest fans. although i am not exactly knowledgeable about all the history behind each movie, i would be interested to. i also wouldn't mind discussing specific scenes and lines from his movies with you. it's just all so subtle, while at the same time so grand.

  • Alright, fire away, good sir... reply here , msg me or do a video response, whatever... =)

  • What is your response of his upcoming film Dragonball? You should make a video

    (._.)v

  • We are new to Stephen Chou so we will check it out! Thank you for sharing this! *^.^*

  • damm

You love you some Stephen Chow films

  • Yes I do, ;)

  • I LOVE Stephen Chow! I'm just starting to go through his entire filmography... Kung Fu Hustle was the first film that I saw and I instantly got hooked
