this game is fantastic. can't say the same for the graphics.. i know they aren't supposed to make or break a game.. but god they are fucking ugly. shadows especially. still a 10/10 title for sure.

Any tools in particular you use to record aside from fraps? I'm using a first person mod but the animation niko does when idle still shows up when recording... just curious..

@MrECHOfox Nope, Fraps only. I didn't use a first-person mod though. I got on a bike and changed perspective (press "V") until i got into first person. To get your bike onto roofs and other places you can't drive to, just use cheats :)

@TheDKer thanks, i was recording with 23, but i ended up with 3 hours of material that was 200GB big. So i started it all over again with 10fps.

@TheCoCkTa1l Well yeah, my video is at 24 FPS, but because i speed it up so much you will see no difference, and anyways, your PC will probably not even be able to run at that high FPS. Another thing you want to do to save space is to disable the sound.

how many times faster is this?

@TheCoCkTa1l It differs from shot to shot, but normally they are 100 times faster. Between 2:11 - 2:20 for example, it's set a bit higher so it matches the beat at 2:20 where the sun for some reason lights up a whole lot. If you pay much attention, you can also see the clouds and cars move slower after that.

@TheCoCkTa1l Go on a bike and press "v" to change perspective, and eventually you'll get into first person view. Then remove the HUD on the options.

There're different versions of the weather, use the weather cheat to see them all. Some are foggy, some are rainy, and then some are clear which makes the night darker. Maybe that's the reason?

Btw don't worry about that particular cheat, it doesn't really count as one, so it won't lock any achievements.

Thanks, but im wondering what version of the game your using, if its the 360 or ps3 version, then its understandable to use cheats for the weather (i use them all the time), but i'm running the pc version which i've noticed is badly ported over.

If you are running the pc build, im looking for graphics tweaks that will make the shadows and night time darker.

When people say it's badly ported it's not because of bad graphics and that, it's because of bad FPS. In every way the PC versions graphics are better if you set them to max, so that's not the reason. I didn't use any mods, of graphics tweaks in this video. The only thing i did was to make a commandline.txt in GTA's folder and write some stuff in that, to allow me to put all graphics to max.

Really? hmmm... when i run it maxed it look great, but for sum reasons shadows dont look very dark, thats all. Do you think the commandline.txt that you use could help me?

The only thing it did was to ignore the RAM limit GTA makes, so that i could put the graphics as far up as possible. If you can already have it at full graphics, it shouldn't make a difference.

Well if you took screenshots it would be worse cause there would ofcourse be less frames which would mean less frameblending.

And what do you mean it would take longer time? GTA doesn't go slower just because you take screenshots.

just awesome! I actually wanted to make something like this but I didn't have the patience! Extremely well edited, I can tell you've spent a lot of time getting it synced with the audio track even if youtube has messed it up a little. Oh and the final fly through (was it on a bike???) was extremely cool ^_^

Yeah each time you press F2 you save the previous 30 secs more or less. If you wanna make it longer then just press F2 again in link those two together.
