this (corvettes) are by far THE BEST sports car for the money, you simply don't get that level of performance as well as looks for a corvette pricetag somewehere else, don't care what naysayers may claim, i've loved corvettes ever since i first learnt about them, i don't fall for the overhyped european sportscars, and their alleged superiority over anything american, i just love corvettes and once i got me the funds i sure as hell gonna get me one, greets from germany :)

I have a 1990 Corvette and next year it will be a classic. It's the last year of the round tail lights and a very rare charcoal metallic color. I'm the second owner, 100% all original. 36,000 miles. It smells new and drives new. It's a work of art. Bought for 9,500. I love the flip up lights. Black and grey leather, fully loaded, targa. It will go 162 MPH. Six speed, Delco Bose CD. Truly hard to find. For an old car everyone treats me like I have an expensive Ferrari! So cool! I love Corvettes!!

3:40 unfortunately does NOT sound like music, those OEM mufflers ruin the sound of that V8. do the car a favor and open those babies up, after exhaust is gonna help a ton with letting some of the real music come out, and im not opposed to cut outs either :)

to clarify, im not bashing vettes, i love them to death, and thats really why im posting cause that exhaust does not do the engine justice and leaves a great deal to be desired. you get more sound from the movement of air than the engine

all corvettes are only 2 seaters. This is an 05 at this time, it can be had for about $23,00-30,000 used as we speak. 2010's are out right now. So these are obviously gonna be the cheapest.

z06 only comes in hard top, you would have to go with a regular c6 for a convertible top

I have a '08 C6 Z51 loaded. The car is amazingly roomy, with loads of storage room, and gets great mileage for 436 hp. I call complete BS on not hearing the wind with the top off. This guy probably never drove it with the top off. So is this car orange, or is it yellow and the camera color is just messed up?

The clear roof is acrylic, not fiberglass. Front and rear bumpers are polyurethane (plastic). The rest of the body is SMC (sheet molded compound), a plastic and fiberglass composite sandwich that is more plastic than fiberglass. SMC panels are lighter and thinner than plain fiberglass.

Yes. More than enough leg room. You could put the seat all the way back and find it difficult to touch the pedals.

The Corvette will be worth a lot more in the future, too. But don't buy it for that reason. Buy it because you drove one and loved it. That's what really counts.

To the guys like Dave that criticize a machine like Corvette, be sure that any a Mercedes-Benz from the same caliber costs twice or three times more than a Corvette, the SLR McLaren costs almost 5 times more, but Corvette delivers much more per each dollar invested.

The Corvette is the only super sports car that does not need spoilers to be stuck to the road, the body of the car is a spoiler itself.

If not convinced yet, so come to Brazil.

Dave...thanks for being such a loyal watcher! No joke, we are nothing more than a group of guys that just love cars. We are lucky that we are able to drive the cars that we have, and believe me, we are very thankful. As far as the Vette's pipes...I think my acoustic challenges of a bald 4-wall warehouse kills the sound, but in person it sounds incredible...maybe it's time for an equipment upgrade.
