Like most sequels, this just isn't as good as the original. Don't get me wrong, I love the new cast -- I found the reclusive asian fellow's reinterpretation of Laurence Fishburne's character rather compelling. The cinematography seemed uninspired and the writing -- well, WAS there a plot?
Good sentiment, but the absence of John Singleton appears to have anchored the production in a sea of underachievement.
