  • sexy kiwi chick made me sprout lol

  • I love your enthusiasm!!

  • What kinds of beans you recommend any names? nice video you two very catchy!

  • u can eat pinto right. how do they taste

  • You can also use the ring of a canning lid with a square of some light 100% cotton fabric instead of getting the mesh lid. You can use muslin, cheesecloth, or pretty quilting fabric that has been pre-washed (I'd recommend washing with baking soda or washing soda instead of detergent).

  • I'm going to do this, i love to make sprouts into a side dish!

  • I sprouts are fun to grow. Two of my favorite sprouting mixes are Pro-Vita Mix and Alfa-Plus Mix from lifesprouts

  • Nice video!

  • Nice video!

  • man she has big teeth, but i still think she is sexy in her own way :)

  • You are so animated it makes me smile! BTW this is just as easy to do with a bowl and a colander, no need to go looking for a screened jar lid.

  • They might be old, dead beans - or perhaps you didn't rinse them often enough?

  • @wildhealth We love our beans.

  • I tried to sprout some beans but they fermented and got really stinky. Why?

  • wow! thank you!

  • Nice Video!! I've been gettin' my sprout on for years!!

I've never tried lentils, but I will now!!

You guys look like such a hansom couple!!

Respect to your wife ( She is very pretty )...

  • Reminds me of sperm...

  • who got here by typing in sprouts!

  • god i tried this it tastes like shit

  • @MrREDDRAGON100 your comment made me laugh i loved it.....they do take getting used to

  • These guys are hilarious!! New Zealanders?

  • They're absolutely ADORABLE!!! I just want to hug them both!

  • Yes, you can use brown or Du Puy lentils (but not red lentils, which usually don't have their hull).

If they don't sprout easily, it's probably a problem of quality - try to find organic lentils from a supplier with a good turnover - they become less viable with age.

  • can i use regular lentils? liike the kind you can cook? or do i have to buy seeds

  • love the energy in this video!!

  • @halfway2hell Wow dude ur probly the coolest guy ive ever known. Man if only i could be like you, then i could masterbate while writing to a person that ive never met at the same time! FYI, stay out of peoples lives. This was meant as a joke u retard. F you

  • Oh and btw the beans look like freaking sperm cells. Wtf is that? Ps is it wrong that i got a massive errection after looking at your beans?

  • Are you guys New Zealanders?

  • no offence but did u see her teeth

  • Thanks for posting this fun and informative video! For some reason, I woke up craving sprouts today. :)

  • Is so healthy ofor you. Yeah right. I got a bacterial infection from it and almost diet from it

  • @Inflamsx is this true? can you tell me what happened?

  • @lucius215 Well, I it was a bit my fault. I got sloppy and only rinsed it once every 2 days. And I did not kept the space around it hygienic. But I think the sprouts had some bacterie on it even still. The doctor prescribed me medication for nausea and diarhea and I recovered. I have to say though, now I have back introduced the sprouts i am being very hygienic, I use detol to keep everything bacteria free and I use hydrogen peroxide to clean my sprouts and kill all microorganisms.

  • @Inflamsx i see! Well, glad u survived that. i wonder what bacteria it was, sounds Like something i wouldnt wanna get.

im being careful, so far so good tho.

    thanks for explaining!

  • @Inflamsx yeah thats from poor sanitary conditions thats your own stupid fault for being a pig. In order to prevent mold and various bacteria i would add a lil bit of hydrogen peroxide theres food grade available it prvent bacteria growth but its not nessary if you rinse with clean fresh water . but hey the only reason why you got sick is cuz your a pig c;lean yourself up and good to go

  • Thanks, you are such good people!

  • eww sorry not the beans

  • Didn't understand a word, but if I did I'd still lol and it sounded like she said browding not sprouting.

    ?????????

  • those people are retarded

  • this is great, but you guys are so keen you've got to be dosed up on something

  • hi, can u tell me why is my bean sprout so green and curly.is it the variety or did i do sometihing wrong?

  • this is bullshit!!!!!!!!!

  • Rinsing means exactly as you said - fill with water, pour out again and leave upside down

  • What do they mean with rinsing them once a day? Fill the jar with water, pour it out and leave the jar upside down so the water will drain? Not a native English speaker.

  • Excellent idea. I like all sorts of sprouts. Barley sprouts make good beer too.

  • @rayunseitig what about marijuana lmao?

  • @bellacinderellakk i mean the bean sprouts are gross. i dont like them, i grew some accidentally b/c i was soaking black eyed peas for another recipe. then i poured the water out and as teh beans dried the sprouts grew. there was no cover or special container...

  • Thanks for the info. I'm going to give it a try. Also I enjoy your enthusiasm!

  • Great video! Kinda odd how being happy and enthusiastic is treated like sin now days.... o.O

  • I love ur video and ur smiles too Love u 2

  • Great because you know I LOVE beans!

  • Too bad pot doesn't grow this easy.

  • can you sprout aduki beans? are they edible raw?

  • i freeze the beans overnight

and use warm water up to 60C to soak the beans

and keep the jar in the hot water cupboard

to grow my alfafa or any beans

I got this tip from a commercial alfafa and mung bean grower(he was a maori)

  • Awesome video!!

  • Hahahaha! Great informative video, but that woman is too much! Haha!

  • Wow! Anna you are wild one! :)

  • "it's amaAazing ! " ROFL

  • Ur stoopid

  • can u sprout weed like this

  • English people have bad teeth.

  • Kudos! I just got into sprouting two months ago. It is indeed loads of fun, inexpensive and so easy! The products are delicious and I honestly think that I look different-- better-- because of the new form of nutrients I am ingesting!

  • I use NEW pantyhose and elstic bands, just cut the size u need. Easy. I don think these ppl are high on anything but life. Good job.

  • @DontBePartOfTheProbl

That's such a great idea! I've been having so much trouble finding those screens and all I needed to do was get a little creative! Thanks so much.

  • @bishonenrancher Yeah that's a good idea with the panti hoes, but I don't have any of those around the house. I took the bottom of a plastic ice cream tub, cut it the size of the jar ring, and cut a bunch of tiny holes in it. I took forever but I think it will work.

  • Awesome video!! I'm happy that you're enthusiastic about your sprouts. Keep up the good work.

  • Have you two ever seen posh nosh?

  • love the video... what a cute couple!!!

  • Can any beans sprout?

  • But why? packing peanuts are free

  • lol informative, though I'm not sure if I should laugh or be creeped out?

  • how come the beans i sprouts are all skinny?

  • so after 4 days you can just eat them raw??

  • yup ....sprinkle on salad or use in soup or have in a sandwich ....anything you like

  • AWESOME SOO EASY, THANKS !

  • THESE DUDES ARE AWESOME

  • I wonder, when doing the daily rinsing, have you tried a sort of hydroponic solution (some nutrients in the water)?

  • These guys are too excited over bean sprouts! Thanks for the tutorial. I was just looking into growing mushrooms and then remembered how much I love bean sprouts. Wow, it's so easy!

  • i hate you. just stop.

  • Brilliant video

  • nice tutorial, starting my bean sprouts tonight, thanks ;)

  • this woman is scaring me....mommy...

  • haha ..me too

  • Great Kiwi attitude.

I also read in the Tui guide that it's a good idea to leave the jar on the windowsill just before the sprouts are ready to eat. The leaves will turn green due to the formation of chlorophyll, which adds to the nutritional value of the sprouts.

  • Cool Stuff. Useful.

  • where did you buy these jars--i ordered some online is really not great and is plastic cover and flimzy--and jar too big--tnx do you know of any company that sells these

  • sorry no, we're in New Zealand and we buy then at local organic store. You can put your beans in a seive, over a bowl then cover with a cloth (after soaking overnight). You then need to rinse thme a little more often, maybe twice daily, as they dry out more easily.

This is a great method for making LOTS of sprouts.

  • Any ol' store has them, like a hardware store. Or Wally -Mart. But DON'T shop there, support locally owned stores.

  • @uandmeonutube you really, REALLY do not need special equiptment for sprouting. You can simply use a cheese cloth, plastic screen material (the kind you use for windows) or a clean piece of pantyhose or sheer stalking.

Attach to any spare quart-sized jar you have lying around using a heavy rubber band. The idea of the mesh is just to make it so you can pour out the water while keeping the beans in and air circulating. Just be sure to wash whatever sieve you use after every batch.

  • @uandmeonutube

    Hi !

I use plastic or glass jars, put a cheesecloth on top of them that holds in place with an elastic.

Then i put the lentils or seeds, get them wet and let the water out in the sink through the cheesecloth.

I then put them top-down in a plastic dish rack at a 45 degrees angle for good aeration.

Rinse your sprouts 2-3 times a day.

    Voilà.

Be careful with sprouting beans like red kidney beans, they become toxic when they sprout.

  • Thanks, you two did a great job. Your video was very informative.

  • That was pretty smooth!!! I will sprout more often!!!

  • Thank you!! I can't wait to try! You saved me from trying a bunch of unnecessary steps. (BTW, the lonely, uneducated, angry types really show up in these youtube comments sometimes huh? Very sad for them.)

  • Thanks for a great video. You guys seem really healthy and energetic. Ignore the ignorant comments.

  • you guys sound really westy...

  • just like you we are busy people.

but unlike us we arnt on exctacy when shooting youtube vids

  • haha this is the funniest rude comment anyone's made about us

  • you just seem a bit to happy to be straight edge. lol. bit of the wacky tobaci?

  • Really why are some so concerned about looks as if they are perfect. Btw thanks, I came searching for this only

  • You misspelled 'ecstasy'. In addition to your spelling impediment, you didn't use proper punctuation. It should be 'aren't'. Last but not least, you are quite the ignorant type.

  • @ghost15120 lol

  • Very interesting and nice video. Greetings :)

  • Man, it's like watching an advertisement. All those cheesy smiles.

  • um wouldnt crowding kill all those beans

  • Any idea how to make or how much time it takes to make Almond sprout....

  • thank you 4 answering my question. i grew lentils and found their raw taste quite appealing although i cant find a decent recipe on the internet...

  • Great video! I have plenty of canning jars and can easily fashion a screen top for them. Terrific idea!

  • can u stop talking about how nice these people SEEM and add something to the sprout topic?! im trying mine with pinto beans. is that common? are they tasty? wtf dont be so lame
