Thank you for this video. I am new to Buddhism and a new interpreter but I hope to some day understand the concepts well enough that if Deaf person would ever want to come to the temple I attend I can interpret the service.
Whenever I spend time with my guru Amma, it can be very noisy, chaotic around Her at all times, it is when I'm thankful for being deaf because it has allowed me to be able to meditate effortlessly in Her presence.
I can relate with Patty with her answer that she does not feel anything missing with her deafness. This is what deafness has taught me. That no matter what we lack physically, we are still WHOLE in spirit. Our spirits can see, hear and feel everything beyond the physical.
