What is it about the ancient egyptians and their knowledge of the stars? I suspect that they had a little help from above and I don't mean God but our space neighbors. I don't know but their calculations are very precise for their time. It just raises questions. We could use some help from ETs for today's problems which are many. However Mr. Stephen Hawking advised against getting in touch with them. They could easily colonize us if not kill us with their technology.
